    The Mk 3

Great revue SW, very knowledgeable. Personally I really do believe the only reason Deben started to update there gear is that they feared losing there grip on the market, in the Terrier section, due to the great new piece of kit from Bellman and Flint. It's a good job B&F can't get the size of there unit down as Deben would be really in stchuck on the Ferreting front as well.

CB May I start by saying I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your litter. It's not nice when it happens and all your expectations are gone in a flash, it really does take the shine off what should be a good event. It sounds to me like your Jill may be suffering from"post pregnancy stress". This can manifest itself in many forms some of which you have already described. A few questions you need to ask yourself are: 1. Did I go near the kits too soon e.g. try to handle them in the first week? 2. Has the Jill been bothered by activity around her nest box ie.
  6. NT "The world is full of urban myths", I'd apply a bit of common in this case. Ferret out all the burrows thoroughly using Hobs or Jills, then lightly plug all of them up with soil. If they are then reused you should then see where they are to be Ferreted again. Obviously I don't know how big your mates farm is and how much time you have on your hands, buy I would try this method first. Also you mentioned about neighbouring livestock and not being able to use dogs, aren't the stock fenced off from your Farmer mates land? Do you not have/know anyone with steady enough dogs to get on th
  7. Sash, I know what an electrolite is and what it does and have been using them for some years. I was being specific to "Pedialyte". Thanks for the info though it might help someone out there who doesn't know anything about them and might start them using one
  8. Have any of you guys ever used Pedialyte for your Lurchers or Terriers, and if you have how do you rate it? Any info much appreciated.

  19. 1.Gameness : The dog has got to want to do it otherwise forget it. 2.Speed : Speaks for itself. 3.Endurance : I do a fair few hours when I'm out and about on the Lamp, so he/she must stay the course. 4.Trainability: I need a dog that is steady to stock, will bring to hand every time and one you don't have to ball and shout at telling everyone and his brother where I am or draw attention to what I'm up to. At the mo I've got a 14mnth old who is good for me in every respect but will not bring to hand, these things are sent to try us I'm sure he'll come round though. 5. Nose : For my small
  20. The dogs I mentioned earlier will take "all" on the hoof and work wooded cover but when drawing they just sit on top ticking over, waiting for the knock to enter. Nice and steady. I'll ask my bud if he'll let me post some of his pics
