  1. I haven't really had a look to be fair but I'm ready to get out, ??good luck mate, it's the prize that took the most graft and patience that means the most
  2. Yeah and in theory what a good cash out fight it is, relatively low risk for a very High pay, but if he does lose then I can't see where he can go, I know he would have got trounced but I think he should have had the golovkin fight when it was on the table for him years ago, he had plenty to say about it, and from what I remember it was nearly over the line and ready for him to take but it never came off, I'm sure a bit of digging would show an opponent more suitable for eubank but off the top of me head i can't think of one I think most people would just like to see him chase legitimate
  3. That's a decent first attempt mate ?not long then it'll be off out with it, pheasant seasons round the corner
  4. No doubt another dog owned by a complete dinlo who shouldn't be allowed to tend to a goldfish, nevermind a strong physical animal
  5. All this sort of stuff is gonna go through the roof as we roll into winter with more prices set to go up again Remand figures are at a 14year High
  6. If their surnames weren't what they are,can you imagine trying to put this fight together? You've got a welter who hasn't fought anyone and has been matched very generously, not even shown interest in domestic opposition and got close to a British belt So what we will do is, we'll get him in there with a bod who has fought at super-middle, mixed it with some top names, got the the semis of the WBSS, and we will chuck a catch weight in there in the hope that the naturally bigger man is bone dry and drained You'd get looked at like the div you sound like wouldn't
  7. I don't reckon he's got those qualities either Not from anything he has shown us so far anyway, peynaud who dropped Benn hard is certainly nowhere near as relentless and fit as jnr in my opinion, so without that quality his dad had its just a hard old job for Benn in there to even try an overcome a naturally bigger man and someone just so fit
  8. I agree with all of that It's mad how people can be so sucked in by it all, I get why it sells because of their fathers, but if you know what you're looking at, weight disparity etc, then like you say it's the wrong fight for both of them
  9. Benns best chance is if Jr doesn't get the rehydration right, Benn also likely gonna be carrying weight he's not used to carrying Jr will be the winner here imo, fit as a flea he is and relentless, mixed in better company, time will tell
  10. Some good boxing last night, McKinson has a big future, also went over to the lions den and fought Vergil Ortiz Jr, something Benn wanted absolutely no part of Dalton Smith again boxed well, him, Nick Ball and Ben Whitaker are going to have fantastic careers imo, Johnny Fisher fight was a poor stoppage imo although to tell the truth you could see what was on, it was only a matter of time Now going to have a watch of the Conlan fight
  11. Yeah the rules I thought would be one part anyone who had done even a little bit of research would get right, or at least would be aware that gloves were not a factor in prizefighting in the 1800s Yes John gully led a very colourful life, prizefighter to racehorse owner and mp, his battles with Gregson alone would make great viewing if done right Different times, very interesting
  12. Yeah if you're looking for a true to life picture of jems life and times you'll be left disappointed but taking all that away and just watching it as a film I thought it was a good watch but you do wonder why people can't get it right
  13. Yes Len look out for the 3volumes,you can buy off amazon, kindle or paperback. Another good read is "mountain fighters - lost tales of Welsh boxing" About the film,I enjoyed it like i said and it was a good watch, but it's worth noting it wasn't factually correct in some places, but that's not exactly uncommon for a film is it
  14. It was a good watch, I've mentioned it before on here I think but anyone who is interested in pugilism from the 1800s etc should read the Boxiana series by pierce Egan. Fascinating how many miles folk would trek to watch a scrap in those days, and in some cases only to arrive at the location to find that the fighters had "been bound over to keep the peace", and then going on another mission to the new location

    Aj. V Uysk

That's one area where the UFC gets it right,a fighter gets beat but he isn't finished in the UFC, that and the UFCs competitive match making and fights happen when they should, and quality fights happen with a lot of regularity The UFC has its fair share of problems but as far as competitive match making goes it is spot on - you wouldn't be waiting for the UFCs equivalent of Pac V Floyd or Fury vs AJ as long as we do As for boxing,I would rather see a fighter be matched competitively all the way through his career, than have a fantastic record that on closer look is full of jank oppo

    Fasting...

I've read fasting has all sorts of health benefits, off the top of me head I can't remember exactly what they are, but for weight loss I don't think you will beat a good diet and training regime, and an active lifestyle All these new fad diets are unhealthy and unsustainable, and aren't a long term solution to the problem, making small steps that then turn into habits that then turn into serious progress that you won't want to back track on is the key to whatever you're trying to achieve

    Aj. V Uysk

I'll buy it,I can't really see AJ making a dramatic change,if that was going to happen it would have happened earlier on in his career and chopping and changing trainers lately is a bad sign,a good trainer can bring you on and better what's already there but he can't make you in what you're not He is game though AJ,takes his losses on the chin, big powerful puncher, more so accumulative rather than 1shot power, not bad selection of shots, but he ain't solving that Usyk puzzle,Usyk going to throw shots from so many angles again it will be unreal, and his footwork is too much for AJ
  18. 100%, still can't get me head round Rob mccracken screaming brilliant aj all through the first fight ?? Tactics all wrong,Joshua's strengths lie in as you say, throwing caution to the wind I've seen a few people reckon now joshua is not with sky, he may show more of his character naturally, and not the PR side that sky was all about, and this may show itself in him being more aggressive in his fights, personally I'm not sure about all that to be honest, yeah he may be more himself but not sure what it's going to do for him in the ring, I don't think he believes in himself to tell
  19. Usyk looking a bit bigger lately Think he will deal with joshua quicker this time But credit where its due joshua handles his losses well and makes no excuses, but all that aside can't see him getting past usyk, he doesn't have/know enough to get round him
  20. Smith Jr always had it all to do, he's a game come forward puncher who likes to stick it on his opponent, he just came up against an equally game puncher who happens to be a lot more skilled than he does, I like smith Jr but he's more of a raw fighter to beterbievs calculated style Talk of beterbiev-yarde is comical, yarde will get beaten handily imo Get beterbiev-bivol on,proper fight
  21. Most the comments on here covered it, Multi Gyms aren't much cop, there's loads of different ways to train, I enjoy Calisthenics and weighted calisthenics mixed in with the core lifts & circuits, so for me I do my bits an pieces on the road and in the calisthenics park where all the pull up an dip bars are and for my deadlifts, squats and that I hit the Pure Gym, it is nowhere near the best gym but for an off peak membership of 9.99 a month you can't go wrong and I can get my strength work done I have a few bars and weights at home and to be fair I don't really struggle to stay motiv
