  1. Its a 3" does not matter though as the 3 1/2 " is proofed the same.
  2. I have a couple of questions . Today i go and have a look at the pressure my escort is proofed for when using steel. Its proofed for 1200 bar but does'nt this fall into the standard category and not the high performance that it is rated at, it has the fluer di lis mark on it stating so.? If it is proofed for high performance should it not be proofed to 1370? I have some gamebore mammoths 3" rated at 1350 bar, are these ok to use. Thanks.
  3. My old retriever had a cut on his leg and needed 7 stitches, i went in and was there while they stitched him up, they gave him antibiotics and put him to sleep for 10 mins. Charged me £140 , they are robbing basterds. I will try and do most things my self now like administering antibiotics and glueing small cuts and other little things. Those little things most would rush down the vets for. I just sort it out my self saved loads, i do however have pet insurance incase the worst does happen.
  4. Thanks for the insight mate, There's a few crosses that i think would go well but doubt i'll ever get to see it happen. A few people have said there best gundog they have had was a mongrel, to look at it was a lab.
  5. I would twin tank if i was you. LR tend to suffer from piston gumming more than other motors. Its your motor, you might be ok while the temp is warm doing a 50/50 blend but as soon as it gets colder i would reduce if not stop completely. I suggest you do a service every 3000 miles or you really are asking for trouble. I have a peugeot 406, this motor is well known for running on 100% veg with no probs, but i still continue to run it on bio as it's a lousy drive on the veg and it save's the injector and in the long run it will save me time with not having to change them.
  6. Chesapeake Bay Retrievers are brown do you think they could account for the brown colour in labs? I have a staff that's spaniel enough, i would prefer the lab retrieving wildfowl on the marsh for obvious reasons to me.
  7. Cheers dude. Really don't want a spaniel.
  8. Not sure if a few months is too soon. Can you pm me the breeding ect please.
  9. I have a very good working ferret that i want to swap because i have not got the time any more. Comes with cage not the best condition but a double tier. Half a bale of hay and a bit of dry kibble. Also her young she had this year that i have not worked yet. A little bit more about the ferret well she gets the job done no hassle. She does not kill and settle up she is coming to you when you whistle. She really has put other ferrets to shame. On a few occasions she has dragged a bunny out of the warrens. when she is out she is on the job 100% of the time she does not mess around at al
  10. Sweet i will have a look where did you get them from.
  11. I've changed my mind i'm not getting a german shepherd to train for gundog work, just incase it don't work out. Its either a lab or a GWP. I'm loving the thought of a GWP but am concerned about how it would handle sitting in freezing conditions in a hide, while out wildfowling. Maybe if there is someone with this breed that does use it for shooting on the foreshore that could give me some insight to its behavior that would be great. I'm thinking it would be wanting to go hunt maybe to stay warm or out of bordam. A lab is my first choice but lacks the hunting ability that a GWP
  12. If its a 1996 then its a 3rd and very cheap too. Then it would have coil springs allround, the torsion bars were used on the 2nd gen.
  13. Give this twat a clap he said it all.. Well worth the money top motor.
  14. Is it a 3rd gen? Back end sags really bad and it looks like yours needs doing. So its probably safe to say its got the original shocks and bushes. Is the steering wobbly because the idler bushes go easy as well. Good for the money, probably because it needs work doing to it.
  15. I had the same thing happen to an older kit, it was were the old hob was doing it up the bottom. I separated them and put her on antibiotics for a few days and it cleared up.
  16. I sold a newer one in the 3litre for a grand.
  17. When my kids were born i would never let the dogs socialize with the baby. I would make it completely clear the baby is mine and they stay away, until the time was right then i would allow them to come over for a sniff, and as time goes on they would bond. I think your dogs knew there place was at the bottom of the pack and now you have introduced the baby to them and i think they think they are above the baby in the pack. That's why the strange behaviour. They know not to show signs of dominance over the baby yet there instincts are telling them otherwise.
  18. How much you want for one.? pm me if you want.
  19. Sounds as though you need to bring the dog on properly. If its not interested in chasing it while your out and you send it off to get it, then that can lead to what your describing. I think your putting to much into it when you take him out , see how he was when he chased the cat , and how you were with him at the time aswell. Then try and duplicate that out in the field. Instead of telling the dog to go chase a rabbit , let it go chase one on its own accord. The dog has got to want to do it and you can help him get that way if you see what i'm saying.
  20. Can you explain what you have done to the stock and barrels please. Cheers.
  21. I'm sure it was that year your talking about Peugeot made the change from a complete mechanical engine to part mechanical. It would swap out ok except for a few electrical bits that would be connected to the dash, for warning lights ect. Probably need someone who knows a bit about car electrics.
