    I remember the whippet well. I was just curious if you could put a springer over one of your lurchers. Mine goes under the radar and I can’t imagine many lurchers challenging her when it comes to mooching...(which is all I use her for). The only thing I can pick her up on is that she occasionally yips which would bother some......She’s exceeded what I hoped for and doesn’t look like an out and out lurcher, but catches me more than any other lurcher I’ve had. No doubt she wouldn't suit everyone’s needs, but for what I do she’s great and certainly worth consideration. It’s in the desire to hunt

    Are your lurchers bitches or dogs? Are you happy with them and how do you rate them to the whippet you had for rabbits/ mooching?

    Personally for me I would use a decent leggy lurcher to lurcher type.....it would certainly add more than the greyhound. I’d avoid straight half cross like the plague and I love collies.

    Lovely, I have this and the brown one. It’s made of much tougher material than the torque I bought from them. I dropped the torque on a gravelled track and I couldn’t believe the dents in it. The lt is such a versatile and ergonomic catapult.

    Balls showed up today after finally getting in contact with him.......like you said Facebook is definitely best way to contact him..? I can finally get back out, felt a bit lost without a pocket full of ammo.

    Only ever bought in and get my bitches spayed early on. I’ve thought about it in the past, and I’d love to, but I’d be too worried who I sold them to....I’d sooner gift to people who can be vouched for.....and to be honest I know very few people been the socially uncomfortable person I am.

    HI shaaarrk.........your right she’s 50% spaniel, and less than 50% sight hound....think she’s about 21 inch. But yes I’d like at 50% spaniel in my next if I’m lucky enough to find one when the time comes.

    I would ideally like my next mooching bitch to have 50% spaniel in there. Mines also settles very well at home and is no bother. It’s just bloody finding one. What height did it make?

    Amazes me how everyone is collie and bedlington lurcher mad.....not that there is anything wrong with them, but for daytime mooching the springer in there brings so much to the table.....no doubt they wouldn’t be for everyone. From a very young age mine showed a difference in her approach in the field to other lurchers and breeds I’ve worked. Don’t get me wrong she’s the only springer lurcher I’ve worked and maybe I just got lucky, but I went down this route for a reason.     It was a game keepers springer bitch and his old old lurcher.....they were advertised as springer x greyhound, but having seen the sire...it wasn’t a greyhound, a gangly brindle short haired lurcher......you couldn’t guess what was in there, probably a bit of everything.....and im usually pretty good at having a guess. She turned out very well and hunts naturally....she gets better every day and her memory is amazing.

    My working springer x lurcher bitch doesn’t raise any eyebrows and is the most skilled daytime hunting lurcher I’ve worked. Shes a pleasure to watch, she has real field craft. Would knock the socks off most daytime hunting lurchers. She makes my bed/ whip x col whip grey look lazy.

    Thanks Mr Wilkes. Will do, it does seem odd. Always like to give benefit of doubt, never had problem before. Keep my fingers crossed I’m sure there’s a simple explanation for it.

    Ordered my 6000 8mm ball bearings from ball of steel a week last Friday and still haven’t received them. Emailed them several times but no response, contacted fedex they said seller cancelled shipment and they’re shipping it back to them. Not experienced a problem ordering from them before. Just seems weird the seller cancelled shipment and hasn’t let me know. Any body else ordered any recently?

    Mines bed/whip x collie/grey/whip.....a mix I always fancied. Unfortunately for me I picked the very sensitive one.....lovely bitch mind and she has surprised me how long she can hold her pace ....only other thing with her is her skin is like tissue. It’s took years for her to bond with me. I’d have another, but for general daytime mooching my spaniel x lurcher takes some beating....would knock the socks off most lurchers at hunting up...although she wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea. Wouldn't mind trying a kelpie whippet.

    I’d get a scout lt from proshot catapults, nice catapult. I shoot over the top, it’s more forgiving on your hands if you make a mistake. They supply one band set. I would advise cutting your own as you will find it easy after a couple of attempts, works out cheap and takes a minute or two to knock a new band set up....save you a fortune. Remember to match the bands to the weight/ size of ammunition.
