Sorry I just thought it was relevant I had no idea people would get so defensive, I walked the area and thought to myself there’s no way a big cat got in or out of here without being seen. As for getting likes from the biggest messer on here I’ll pass thanks ???
Reading the article it says the figures come from people out birdwatching ? Now I’m in no doubt whatsoever that throughout the uk rabbit numbers are down as a rabbit hunter myself I am noticing this however I don’t believe there is any cause for alarm. There are always cycles in population and in a few years time I’m confident there will be rabbits everywhere again.
I’m not paying for dog food ? I’ll get her going on the easy gear in East Lothian to boost her confidence (any old mongrel excels out that way) then bring her up north to start real hunting ?
Just over ten months old now, training has been a doddle but she’s just going through a bit of an adolescent stage no big deal though we will get through that soon enough. She’s got some speed ?
A year ago since this sighting and nothing more seen of it, I went down there with a few mutts one evening but there was nothing except a roe buck. Madness to think a big cat would choose five fields in the middle of one of the busiest areas in Scotland to live ???
Best way to start the day bacon and pudding roll. Won't be long now I'm hoping to start 1st September, are we the only two that observe any kind of closed season? ?
Hounds had split in forestry on two different foxes. I collected these and they stayed with me whilst the main lot were roaring around out of earshot. Although counter productive from a hunting point of view I can’t help but feel privileged at times like this. To be a part of these type of moments gives me a real connection to the wild animal that has long been bred out of the wolf to give us the modern day domesticated canine.
Thanks, I’m glad you don’t take any notice of your wife ??? long way off but if the pup makes the grade and I look to breed from her you’ll be the first I try to push a pup onto pal ?
A35 was the car my Dad had when I was a kid pretty sure it had a bench seat and column change? I know the seats used to get hot in the summer and you knew about it if you had shorts on ?
My first car was a Fiat 128 3p I thought it was the dogs bollocks but I lost it to corrosion ?
I’ve had quite good Deerhunter jackets and bad ones, Harkilla stuff is ok too I tend to carry a spare jacket on the quad if it’s really wet because nothing seems to be able to put in a full day shift. I’ve got Musto BR2 offshore trousers and they are good I don’t know if they make a jacket but it’s not a hunting orientated line those trousers I couldn’t recommend enough. Biggest problem I have is once I’ve trashed through a couple of gorse bushes any jacket leaks.
Looking forward to entering my pup this season, I was very lucky that after much begging @MR RABBIT brought Paddy out of retirement and he successfully lined my Kelpie cross bitch that @Night Walker bred, time will tell........
