  3. And the bitch I'm trying to get lined has already had a litter about 3 years ago so she's not a stranger to it.
  4. Not just throwing 2 dogs together, its took me ages to find the right dog for my bitch, I've had a few litters out my bitches over the years and I just wanted to know if anyone knows of any other bitch that seems ready but won't let the dog near her
  5. Good advice, hold her with one hand and run your other hand down her back and if her tail goes to one side it's a good sign, but, some bitches will do it that even when not ready.Usually when a bitch stops bleeding she's most fertile two days later but in an ideal world the more times the dog serves her the better. If she comes out quickly then that's usually a good sign she's in pup. Yes tail going to side but she's still not letting him nowhere near her

  7. I'm after a pair or trio of shimano baitrunners. Ideally I was wanting the earlier ones such as the 5010, 6010, 8010 but may consider others. What you got?????
  8. Well fcuk me I always thought square spades don't fit round holes. Hahahaha
  9. Well she's stopped bleeding a week now and she's still not letting him near her, I've had 4 litters now with various bitches over the years and I don't remember it being this long before
  10. My bitch was still bleeding at 11 days, she was bleeding for 2 weeks
  11. Does anybody know how many days the bitch must of stopped bleeding before she's ready to stand????
  12. I personally don't know the guy but just by reading threads I get the feeling he's not a bad guy at all, gifting somebody he didn't really know a grafting terrier and also going out of his way to help a man out who again he didn't know who had lost a dog to ground not collared up, not many would do the same, especially for people who they don't really know never mind a friend.
  13. At least Daniel Cain is 1 of very few that would travel to help if needed. Not many like that still around, and he didn't even know the guy, wish his number was in my phone.
  14. Welcome mate, happy hunting.
  15. Get your brother to put the lakie over the patterdale. already did ask him and he said he wants a bitch that's 100% below like the dog is, that's why I've said I wouldn't mind a bitch.
  16. This is a snappy little thread, typical terriers.
  17. I don't do a great deal with terriers myself at the moment but have in the past and only bushing and ratting, I'm more for lurchers. My little brother has both terriers and lurchers and we went for a mooch earlier today. We took both his terriers and both my lurchers. He's got a very game and strong lakey type dog and a real small tight nuttall bred patterdale bitch, I've got a wheaten whippet greyhound bitch and a first cross wheaten greyhound dog pup. We was out no longer than half hour and his lakey went to ground in thick thorny bramble brier in a kicked out old rabbit warren. After an hou
  18. There will always be a dog out there that proves any theory or book wrong, I just think no matter what dog (size, breed) it is...if its works its quarry as it should then any breed could be the best for the job as I've seen with my own eyes big 28,29 and even bigger tts deerhound crosses make good rabbiting dogs and on the other side of the scale, a beddy whippet taking red fellas, he was only 20.5tts. We all know of a bull cross that wouldn't do its job or a whippet cross that wouldn't take a rabbit or even a saluki cross that wouldn't run a hare, don't we????????
  19. I've put pics of dog and bitch on, I will keep you updated if u like mate???
  20. My dog is the brindle weaten first cross, good strong dog. My bitch is the fawn and white, weaten whippet greyhound.
  21. ah right I get ya, the dog has been with bitch since bitch was bleeding and has had plenty of time to knot her in the garden without me noticing if I was to be honest. I'm sure nature will take its cause, if it already hasn't.don't you want to know when the pups will be due.?its normally 63 days from them knotting. Its more or less always to the day as well, or at least that's what I've found in my experience. but if dog and bitch are together and your not watching them you won't know when/if they f****d. ah right I get ya, the dog has been with bitch since bitch was bleeding and has had ple

  23. didn't think it would be that cheap, nor was I aware of it .. Thanks, I will keep that in mind. I don't think I've missed her as she's only been stopped bleeding for 3 days. Well she was still bleeding when I went to bed on Thursday night.
