I have a puppy from an old line of breeding which my uncle bred they started from 2 Norfolk lurcher mike Douglas bred, this pups got about 4/5 generations on the one side going back to that breeding so was just wondering everyone’s opinions on them? Il see how he turns out every dog from his line has been worked and proved their selves so hopefully he can do it aswell

  3. Depends on what your working them on I think this cross are ideal rabbiting dogs clever hardy little dogs with plenty of speed and aggression the brains coming from the collie the hardy ness and aggresion from the bedlington and the speed and aggression from the greyhound.

I was just wondering what’s everyone’s opinions on whippet x greyhounds for rabbits and does anyone know of a breeder or anyone who has one for sale as I would like to buy one as I have a lot of permission for lamping and ferreting local so one from good working stock would be preferable and preferably a bitch,any info would be much appreciated, I am in south east kent.
  7. Cheers mate cause I've heard some people say it's hard to get a bitch back to how she was after having pups but didn't know how true it was

She's 3 year old mate but always been a good bitch and kept me entertained will take bags full of rabbits but now I've started running her this season she's having her on and off nights some nights she'll run her heart out and other nights she's abit flat I'm wondering whether I put her in pup abit to young but you learn by your mistakes she'll never be a bad bitch causes she's to fast clever and got to much heart but I need to get her going how I had her before don't get me wrong she isn't doing much wrong just goes abit flat now and again
  9. What's everyone's opinions on after a lurcher bitch has pups? Does she still run the same or does it make her abit flat after she's had a litter, for example does it make her run different then when before she had the puppies?

  11. I have a colliexwhippetxdeerhoundxgrey and she's always been a pleasure to run had many good nights sport with her,she's only small 20tts, but very fast and very clever when on form,I do like collie in any rabbiting dog they've always got abit of brains about them.
  12. Probably rabbits all you can really run now a days and there's a good few around here give your dog a half tidy run aswell love to see a rabbit running in the beam as the dog is centimetres behind it

Yer Jess asoon as theirs enough cut I will be getting out having a few runs theirs a few hay fields cut hear and their i see to day but want enough to be cut to make it worth going so another month or so start going out once or twice a week get her ready for the main seasonyes mate an want it to have abit more rain really soften the old ground up or you'll just end up smashing the dogs feet then your out for most of the season trying to heal em??
  14. I have a collie whippet x deerhound greyhound and she's the best I've ever owned takes most quarry and you can put your heart and soul into her she will give you everything never had a bad nights lamping with her always kept me pleased on a mooch out on the lamp
  15. Won't be long now jack,start giving em a good walk in the next month or so getting em fit and ready come end of September and start getting the pups out when corns cut showing em bits and pieces on the lamp

Here is my little bitch daisy the destroyer collie whippet x deerhound greyhound running rabbits on the lamp, would be interested to see if anyone else has this type of breed and what they think of them?
