Best of luck boys, hope it gets put right side up.

We usually see the golf course covered with elk this time of year. This was taken down the street from the wife's grandparents house last Saturday. They are often in their front and back yard in addition to the occasional Mule Deer, bobcat, fox, coon, black bear and mountain lion. 10 minutes drive up the road is Rocky Mountain National Park where we head in September for the rut at mating season. The bull elk are a regal animal and the bugling can be heard through the valleys. Elk is great tasting as well!

The frequency is the same but the Pieps has three antenna being newer technology while the others have only two. It allows the dog to be triangulated more quickly. Cooper, buy the receiver in the states- it's less money. Just buy the collar for about $130 and hit REI or e-bay.

Well, it's not been mentioned for some time so I'm unsure what the concensus is. The Deben was thought to need improvement and the Bellman and Flint was thought to be good but not many had them. Anyone else using the B&F now or any updates on what Deben's doing with the new collar?

When Kye offers to dig, being like New Years, we all stand WELL back to savor the moment knowing it'll be another 12 months, lol! Sorry to hear about Lizzie, hope she's okay and that you kill the bast**d. Give a call when you can- got back yesterday. The opossum carry Leptospirosis among a variety of other things. They eat roadkill and about anything else, are our only N. American marsupial, have multiple litters a year and are awfully fugly.

This fella was teasing the terriers the other day from a branch hanging over the yard. about 20 yds in one ear and out the other. I've quite pleased with the accuracy of the gun and scope.

Sounds more like a 4 pack of ferrets, lol Both nice looking animals.

The correct size is the one that can consistently get there and get the job done to your quarry in your area.

I've used an Equilight with great results. Seems to speed heal time and eliminated a granuloma when all else failed in a matter of days. Have also used it on shoe boils on horses, ACL surgery on a GSD, deep tissue lacerations, sprains and torn ligaments on myself. Wouldn't ever suggest anyone to just go get one as they're pricey, but if you're already inclined and are looking for other's experiences, I'd say go for it.

smallmouth, out of curiosity, how are you rewarding the dog for retrieving when she does bring it to hand? I mean, what's the trade off for the dog? The other odds and ends she brings are different TO HER for some reason- it's fun and not structured probably. I would imagine the dog believes you're going to take it away and no benefits to her. A 5 yard deficit to hand- she hits the zone where she feels you can get it from her and stays back. For sport and police dogs, we use two dummies like your "bottle game" and the dog gets to pursue the other only when they return the first to ha

Yes, Fox Squirrel. You can send the tails, fur in here for lures etc. for fishing as well. They only want to trade out lures here though!

8 shots to zero then a 20 yd easy shot. The gun is quite solid. Excellent two stage trigger and Logun silencer. Can only hear the valve ping which is ideal for my area. Center chest with no exit- pellet under skin between ribs and hide along spine at 14fpe on low power. Will be doing prairie dogs shortly.

Remote Electric Dog Training Collars
F.R. replied to IanB's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
I do believe you'll be pleased. It's solid gear and the levels lock in firmly on the wheel, the two buttons of stim per level is excellent. Let me know how it works for you. That Dogtra dial spins too freely and the level is never really the same so consistency is always poor imo. -
Kane, The coyotes are everywhere, absolutely everywhere. They've taken over quite honestly. Open season anytime where I am and I don't know of anywhere where there's a season to be honest- could be but I've not heard of it.

We'll have some to work over- no worries. The area some local guys do target at is LOADED with them running all over this guys fields. Unbelievable amounts of them up north of me.

Well I started with a Beeman R7 in .177 (Weirauch HW30 I think) for the backyard for squirrels and such but at this altitude not only wouldn't kill a squirrel but was quite embarrassing in front of the wife's grandfather who has a $30 gun from WalMart that was dropping pigeons when I couldn't. I've ordered a Webley Spectre .22 (FX Cylone- Sweden) which has 3 power levels topping out at 34 fpe. Will handle whatever........... Weaver V24 6-24X42 mildot and will being sniping on low power shortly (14 fpe) and have pics of dead prairie dogs for those interested. Supposedly same power adjus

Remote Electric Dog Training Collars
F.R. replied to IanB's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
Yes......that's the one Ian. The thing about it is this. It has 6 levels but each button on the front is up a level for example on a 1 setting- the lower button is a one and the one above it is a 1.5 then the red is continuous. Then 2- bottom is a 2 then next up 2.5 then red continuous. Don't have to turn the dial if you need more stim but if you do, you can easily do it with your thumb or forefinger instead of a knob on top. The Dogtra knob on top isn't gaited so it spins freely and if you bump it accidentally it can jump up a few levels- the TriTronics feels more stable, the wheel is ga -

Remote Electric Dog Training Collars
F.R. replied to IanB's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
Ian, I use the Dogtra quite a bit and to be honest Tri-Tronics has a new collar I saw last weekend that is far and away better. A lot of competitive trainers use the Dogtra and it's a good collar, but this one is that much better imo. A couple people I know may be getting the new TriTronics. I much preferred the Innotek and Dogtra over the TriTronics for as long as I can remember but this was a nice unit. I prefer it over my $2000.00 Shecker Tele-Tek. Let me know if you want more info and I'll find out for you. -
Kye, There April 17-21. You around..........? Nice pics.

I must have asked the wrong question so here goes again- how does the Daystate X2-R compare to the AA S410E? Anyone.........................I'm told less fall off in distance across a fill-
