Just pulled the manual, it says Spectre 2 but the plate on the gun just says Spectre, I guess the US version has the power adjuster???? I'll call the shop I got it from tomorrow............

Chris, I've taken prairie dogs, rabbit, squirrels, starling, sparrow (open season on the last two year round here). Plan a trip further west to try it out on some bigger stuff soon. I too wanted the synthetic but a guy here sold me this one new for the same price when the other was backordered.......the Webley version had a heavier barrel and better gauge- the only complaint I've heard on the FX model is a leaky gauge if anything at all...... bedlingtonman, is it diff parts for the action on the Spectre 2????? If it was swapping a part, I might do it if it's that much smoother.........
-
I'd agree as far as med power is concerned overall. The biathalon action is real nice to use. If the "2" has a smoother action and better trigger, it must be some gear!! biathalon action power switch

Nice looking bitch Taffy....

What sort of power is it pumping out? Chris, Mine's a "Spectre" and it's three levels are low- 14 #, medium-22# and high- 33#. It's an FX (Cyclone- rebranded) from Sweden with the match grade barrel in walnut. The Biathalon action is smooth and it's never jammed.....flip a switch to change power levels..... FX Airguns

Nice pic....

No problem Haggler, nice pic with the fox.......I had one like that with me in it in end up in an English anti brochure that I spent considerable time and money getting removed........you're right I do have my reasons, but they have little to do with America when I'm on this site and more to do with what these lads are up against as this is THEIR site, not an American's...........just trying to be courteous, do no damage and share a story.....I mean otherwise they'd think I was just a loud, rude yank waving my flag in their face wouldn't they? Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays all. Safe

A couple reasons actually but I won't type them out. PM me if you like.....Why do you ask? Did you not like the post or are you stirring?

cos they are all bloody ugly thats why!!!!! sounds like an excellent hunt guys...great to read the stories. i have a query regarding those porcipines, do they dig on when your digging them or would you be able to dig them with a baying type of terrier??? do they face the dog in the manner of a fox, or do they try and force the dog out by charging it backwards??? cheers <{POST_SNAPBACK}> JD, They don't dig on, just face their backside to the terrier, swat with the tail and wait for him to engage. Nasty things, wouldn't choose to work them with any kind of dog a

another We got to bed late, again, but were set to get out with some friends on a spot they have that has held fox before and with the weather getting cold, we thought we might find one in. First stop was a barn that had coon and fox problems. We let Bricca check under a wooden floor. She seemed interested right off the bat but couldn't get where she wanted to be so we let her check a stall and she slipped into a small crevice along the floor. She opened and we couldn't hear any growling so we thought FOX! She worked for just a few minutes and started mixing hard. Soon a cat's h

Kye came for a visit, we had a good time hunting and although it started out a bit slow it gained some momentum and we ended up okay! Kye drove in on Thursday (Thanksgiving) night at about 7:30 pm (14 hours) and we got to bed about 1am and were off at about 5:30 am. Our trip started out in Wyoming with someone who has done little hunting and has some areas to check but hasn't had dogs on anything yet. With some cooperative weather and digging help, he will this winter I think! He was a fantastic host and I look forward to getting out with him again! We took 2 or 3 cottontails with Ky

First I've owned and can't believe the accuracy- definitely worth looking at---Webley Spectre .22 (FX Cyclone)- 3 power levels, nice quiet safety, two stage trigger, walnut or synthetic.... Pic from the other day with Kye..all headshots but one rabbit and one prairie dog....some shots out to 70+ yards.

Couldn't get the debate on In-Demand and don't have the password- anyone........

Steve, They'd probably like to see what us 'yanks' dig...... Nice to see you here..
-
They work well, but yes, practice first. Also don't forget the special staple removers you need as well........
-
One less big black cat running the countryside.... :11: Nice pic
-
Fantastic pics.....I've always wanted to try that and your pics are the next best thing.... We can use neutered ferrets in the states legally but the prairie dogs carry the plague.....

Here you go... lure machine

That explains the press on nails in his first aid kit! lol He's submitted an idea to RealTree for a poison ivy pattern as well I hear. I told him not to lay down in it, but he said that's what he usually does at a dig. Latest news is he looks like freddy kruger! lol Clips should be up soon.

I'd heard the MKII was very hard to keep waterproof. Is this changing with the MKIII as well or just he audible change and reduced range?
-
If the disc is MPEG-PAL, it almost certainly will not play in a N.American machine wheras a MPEG-NTSC disc will play anywhere as long as it isn't region encoded (most worldwide players have an NTSC chip but very few N.American machines have a PAL chip). The PAL aspect ratio and frame rate are different as well. The producers can check this site out if interested. I'd like one as well if there is any way to make it play here. DVD Demystified

There's an MK3 already! Sounds like they've listened? Is this a new version beyond the new version? What improvements this time- (beyond it actually works)..... I've heard very little good about the MK2. Thanks in advance....

Ian, I'm looking over the video of our trip now and will pm you with some clips shortly. This poison ivy is miserable. Kye is still here and whines like a nine year old girl itching and all!! Will post more soon....

Had a nice dig to a black bitch a few days ago- rubbed her coat completely off in rocks and had no problems with the collar size. Working groundhogs that day. Worked perfectly.......pleased so far..

Got back from Missouri with Kye- got some great video footage, some terrier work and a bad case of poison ivy. Will get some photos up soon of some stuff. Sorry we couldn't hook up with 'badgerbob'- Kye said we'll have to wait for the next trip so Kye's dogs can beat his to some yotes! lol Got some decent US billy footage (dead), mink, praying mantis, great horned owl, ground hog and coon footage. Some city fox shots but Kye didn't have the camera rolling when I nailed the prairie dog with the Webley outside someone's apartment. My younger black bitch had a nice dig with a Bellman/F
