  1. The two greyhounds are a nice sort, I thought my pup was from white one as he said she was retired now, but he ment retired from work, breeding after this litter so my pup as same parents as yours, I have no worries about the pup making a worker. I have always had bedlington xs for years and my grandfather used to keep bedlingtons from Margaret and George and he also let George have pups from his own line. Gutchcommon did throw better coated dogs but they ain't no pure gutchcommon around today same with Rillington blood, yes serton lines may have some running through them but in my opinion the

  3. I had a eu kit given to me two year ago, she was spiteful from the day I got her, I put her in with albino kits few weeks older and she bullied the lot, I kept her on her own for a few months hoping she would tame with good handling, food, housing but she bit 7 times out of 10, she would shake her tale side to side and back into closest pipe. Not my kind of ferret.
  4. I put a whippet over my little bitch and all are doing fine, all look racey and I get good feed back of there progress, all have made good ferreting, ratting dogs.
  5. ? My bedlington whippet x Patterdale, great ferreting bitch, good busher and if she marks something is home and she follows a line as good as any. My whippets catch rate as gone up loads with this little bitch about. I don't know why field men don't use fell x greyhound and whippet more, I have seen lakeland x greyhound and they looked handy as well, here's a pic of my little bitch gypsy.
  6. George Kelly used to bree some v Good bedy xs, my uncul had two from him and they was excellent mooching dogs...
  7. Tinker is out of Terry's bedlington and a good coursing Greyhound.I think he breeds a litter to keep his line going, the bedlington dog I saw out of his stuff as got to be one of the best pure bedlingtons I have seen in years. Atb

  10. My pup is out the white one, I missed out on last litter, he kept a bitch for himself out of same litter as yours and she's a cracking animal, do you have pictures of the dad to yours? I know I have a nice pup now it's down to me to put the work into her, atb j

  12. I have a Bedlington whippet x Patterdale. She's a cracking bitch and a good ferreting, ratting, bushing dog. My whippets catch rate as doubled since she came along. I have seen a Middleton bred lake land x greyhound and pups turned out good grafters. Fell, Lake land xs are not used often to make lurchers as much as bedlingtons but I think they would be just as good, my little bitch is great dog and wouldn't b without her, atb
  13. Ferrets normally settle with the right care, handling. Me and my uncle found a large hob last year, we was driving along a country lane when we spotted him on side of road. He came to us but God he went crazy when we tryd to pick him up. My uncle got quite a nasty bite from him, we got him home and caged him alone until he had settled a bit before placing him with a Jill. Over a few weeks he learned we were no threat and when ever we were around good things happened "food, treats," and he's still with me now and he's such a gentle fella when handeld and a good worker. I don't know how long he
  14. Good to hear the pups doing well mate and it's also good to help others get into ferreting, Im always happy to take some one new to the game out with me, I like to get a pup out early with the older dogs, soon as jabs are done I take the dogs across a local farm and let the pup follow the older ones and once pup is tired it goes into a game bag and carried. I have done this with all my dogs and it does no harm at all. If the older dogs snaffle a rabbit all the better as pup can get a good sniff and mouth it. Starting a young dog on long runs etc will harm it but a nice walk with the older dogs
  15. Pups all gone, but I know of a litter of bedy x greyhound x Bedlington whippet. From workers and I believe there's a bitch pup left, I can pm number if you want. Atb
  16. I got last bitch and shes a cracking pup, the lad who bred them is a proper gent. The greyhound dam is from good coursing stock and his bedlington is one of the best iv seen in a long time. Going vets with tinker today to get jabs. I'm really pleased with her and she's a joy to have "don't think my bedy whippet x Patterdale thinks so though" I'll put some pics up later, atb j
  17. Back in early 90s a good friend passed away and I took one of his ebt as his wife couldn't cope with four kids and 3 Bullys, bitch was only small in fact folk though she was a miniature bull, she workt OK on her own. Couldn't have another dog near her though so she went to a crofter and she done well keeping vermin down and she worked with sheep, cattle and I think he got a litter out of her to a brindle dog that a well known bull terrier man in Boston lincs bred.
  18. Just got my pup, I passed on the bedyx greyhound x Bedlington whippet as she had smooth coat, and pickt up a bedy greyhound f1 she's a cracking pup from workers,
