Yea mate there's a couple of youngsters about. The lad kept one. Looks like a beddy really with an extremely uncontrollable jacket. Hunts really well and has a great voice.
Farmer rang to say he had cut barley and seen fox leave while cutting. So organised the lads to meet today. Luckily the day was overcast but still a bit sticky. We done a big gorse patch on a railway bank. As trains don't run Sundays up here. Dogs struck after 5 mins and fox was out one side of gorse and missed. Came out other side and met his maker. Happy days and good start to season. Hopefully more barley cut nxt weekend and weather drops off a bit.
I think a good book like the terrier yearbook but about bushing dogs. A few story's of lads outing. Quarry type. Land and there dogs. Be a good read that.
I've always keeped noisy bushing dogs. But as you say each to there own. My mate keeps a full spaniel because he does a lot of ducking and diving and mine would get him captured lol.
Haa it's my mates.i advised him otherwise but she is well bred.winter will see how she works. But sprocker and Beagle xes hunt different ways so don't think she.ll be hunting all the time with me. Lol
