  1. i have been out doing that sort of shooting in the past. but we always made sure that our target was dead, and even [bANNED TEXT] we shot, we identified it. a year ago a mate of mine was out spottyen on his farm, chasing roos off the back of the ute, when he was thrown from the vehicle. he now has permanent brain damage and is in a wheel chair for life. many of us like to believe it wont happen to us, but it sure can. next time, whether you believe they have permission or not, take a note of their number plate. give it to the land owner and theyll soon see whether they had permission or not.
  2. wow. thats a very serious, very technical question fathom. perhaps it were always a fox dog, with mabye more than one purpose. golly thats difficult.
  3. Is big man doin fox at 1 years old on his own mate nice dog yer hes just starting to get it. hes not been bit yet. the shear power of that dog is quiet unreal. its been a little hard finding foxes so far as i dont have a terrior for the earths, and i dont make a habit of lamping yet. but as of nxt tuesday i will have a jack x mini foxy, so hopefully having him will make things better.
  4. scruffy and myself are on the shores of Lake Hume (look at the background of my avatar pic). we go under the name of Bethanga. if you dont know of this, its about 10 min out of Wodonga. where abouts are you ozzydogman?
  5. i must admit, your dogs are small compared to this fella. but not to say he's any better obcourse. there are different quarrys in which different breeds and sizes excell. this ones a pure deer, 1 year old tomorrow
  6. Labradors, of any colour, are in my opinion the best retreivers and family pets. my family has had labs all my life and we have always used them for duck shooting. we even trained one of them to follow our directions (as in 'go left' 'go right' straight) and so fourth. Labradors are the only breed in existance where you can mate a cream with a black, and the dam can throw chocolate. not to mention the pet side to a labrador. they dont come any more faithful. the photo below is of our current lab 'King'. he's 9 this year and has been the best gundog weve had. he now knows to sit beside us and w

  17. go the 270. fast and hit hard, several months ago i nailed a fallow at 220m. the shot ended up being just below the ear. 150gr will kill a bloody dinosaur lol
  18. ok i have a question 1st. are there different .17's??? i have one and my dad dropped a fox with it at 450m, no shit!! the 17 is the best gun for foxes if a clean kill suitable for skinning is what you are after. our gun is actually the very last Remington Model 700 of its class to come into OZ. you wont find a gun much quicker than a 17. the only problem with them is that because theyre so small and quick, any wind will throw them right out and make them useless. im not sure what grain we use, but i have a habbit of finding out what the biggest grain is for the calibre, and giong back 2 sizes.
  19. hahaha.. i cant believe that i thought that was actually legit?? i dont think i would let a lion on that thing let alone a dog. thats a job for a 7mm or perhaps.... a ROCKET LAUNCHER
  20. Where abouts in Aus mate,im down here aswell. Im just north of Wollongong NSW Central Queensland so does that mean that a lot of your pigging is done through old sugar cane fields

Fella is called Kesper and kennel is Mapleridge. He hunts fox, 'roos etc. cheers no shit mate. ive just got a deerhound who's bred from a Mapliridge dog and a Belaiche Bitch. he's a bloody ripper.
