  1. Haha that's a joke....... I'm sure everyone on here keeps a sawn-off shotgun for such an occasion as that and I'm also sure that everyone on here is brilliant at breaking in places in the dead of night and are fantastic at the " intimidation" game ?????
  2. Just looked because I was curious ...... I just nearly had a heart attack and I don't even want one that's just mental
  3. Yeah I've not got another dog to show him the ropes so will wait and see how he dose I'm walking him round sheep and ponies every day so I'm hoping he'll never show interest in them once he's older. I am looking forward to hi first run BUT I'm in no rush for it just be all the better when it dose happen.
  4. Well I won't be waiting for that my spaniels are 2 years old and are both yet to cock the leg ?? I'm sure if they were humans they'd be cross dressers haha
  5. I'm sure some pets lurcher to lurcher will do very well or just as good but it's more a gamble as pet lurcher arnt really about what makes up the dog more the looks so you'll not know what your really getting but working lurcher x lurcher off a dog man can normally tell you what makes up the dog and will say what sire and dam excel at and that will give you a good indication at what you'll be doing. Well that's my thought process I may be totally off the ball there.
  6. Also I've just read that at 16weeks old roughly double that for full grown hight is that a load of s**t?? Just measured my pup and at a couple of days off 12 weeks he's just under 17tts.
  7. Alright lads just wondering what age you'd start running pups or have started them. I've a pup here I'm missing this season as he's still very young but I'm thinking starting light work when he's around 8-9 months would this be to soon? Id sooner wait a year or so and have a good dog not ruined and have plenty of seasons rather then one or 2. Any advice would be appreciated ?
  8. Not been round any of my old perm as of yet as I'm sitting this season out got a young pup so season after this one for me but think I may take a few trips out by myself and have a look down my way (South devon)

  11. I've heard a few old sayings but this one has me questioning it. Rabbit and sheep dont mix...... I live on the edge of a sheep farm which I'm told used to be moving with bunnys but there are literly no rabbits there anymore? Any ideas or is the saying true? Cheers

  16. Took my pup for his first man today and they gave him a little check over while I was there and turns out he's got a slight murmur has anyone else had this and has it effected there dogs in anyway? The vet tells me as it's slight it might go over a bit of time but not sure if this will effect him as a running dog.
