  2. I got a jet z on my .223 and it really is quiet. My mate has a pred8 on his and the jetz is much better. At the end of the day, once its on your licence , its on. Might as well get the best.
  3. Selling my 12g o/u. Its a MGC with multi choke, single trigger and ejector. good condition. Only things wrong are it double discharges now and again, and butt plate is smashed but its got a plastic cover on so you cant tell. £120 or nearest offer- bargain!! Pics can be put up if interested
  4. They are pretty easy to make, but the bought ones tend to be better There are plenty of templates if you google it
  5. Top man! Its a great hobby when you get into it. Breeders of harrises are ten a penny im afraid now, so its difficult to be sure of who you are purchasing off and the quality of the bird.
  6. The thing with whatever any religious zealot says is that its going to be bias. The pope seems a good bloke, but catholicism is, like any religion in my eyes, a load of rubbish.
  7. Get some books first mate and read up. "What time of year to get a new bird" is a really easy question if you think about it mate so, with that in mind, it doesnt seem like your ready to own. Im not having a go bud, truly, but you just arent ready for the massive commitment. Christmas time is a great opportunity to ask father christmas for some books all the best, trappa
  8. Its christmas mate, they tend to get lost
  9. can the lads from middlesbrough way who offered me a couple of chickens get back in touch please. I emptied my pm box and have wiped out any traces of who it was!
  10. Thought id share a piccie of my chicken ark. Its nearly finished now, just the front to do and the best thing is its cost me nothing! all wood was salvaged and mesh i had already. Will be looking for a couple of chickens this next week or two, a couple of lads from here have offered me one or two so i may just be taking them up on it.
  11. A good tip for you or anyone else would be being honest and explaining that your a moling novice and your willing to give it a go. Dont try bull**itting him and saying your a pro, he will appreciate your honesty.
  12. Think you hit the nail on the head there millet. You get what you pay for.
  13. I think your doing a great job tracy. Every time i come in chat it always seems to be a nice and easy place for a natter.
  14. I would love to be self sufficient. Im nowhere near but i do try to kill and eat what i shoot/trap and i try to forage a lot of stuff too.

Good stuff mate. Mind that pig mesh though, i had a harris that nearly decapitated itself on the stuff when in pursuit. Keep the pics coming!
  16. Nice healthy looking bird Jinxjill. Some great pics too, well done
  17. Agree with sean. A+P is a great beginners book, arguably the best.
  18. There is mate ! Really? ive heard of odd sightings around durham but havent heard of them round here. Where are they?
  19. Squirrel is real tasty. Your missing out if you havent tried it.
  20. Ive had big cheese squirrel and mole traps, absolute garbage. Very low quality imo, the springs werent strong enough to kill the mole- just half squashing it but not killing it outright but apparantly the mole traps are now better. When it comes to traps you pay for what you get.
  21. None round here, wouldnt mind a crack at one.

What a prat! Like you say, a thank you costs bugger all.
  23. I think that tomcat is bromadiolone, if thats the case then thats as good as it gets for outdoor use. If your using it indoor then brodifacoum is better. there are four anticoagulants, bromadiolone, brodifacoum, flocoumafen and difenacoum. 2 can be used indoors only because they are stronger.
