Top suggestions fellas, thanks for taking the time. Have really got me thinking. Bale twine great idea Rowan mate, common sight in the country after all. Pebbles or distinct stones in stoney ground, false hill with odd shape or fake hoof print, pinch of wool in sheep field (dyed if you can find a bit), yellow leaf amoungst brown, sycamore leaves under oaks, cow pat roof (preferably dry!), sheep nuggets, dandylions in summer. Mix and match the above so no set pattern if scroaty twigs one method. Keep 'em coming boys

Bloody tricky, want to advertise your work but keep it low key at the same time.

Some good ideas again there, I suppose the ideal stealth marker is something obvious to you but easily passed over by light fingered types. Thinking something common in trapping area like twigs or litter! Maybe a false hill with a distinguishing mark or feature.

Nice ideas there fellas, grass was long and tufty so really need some way of pin-pointing exact place above trap. Put marker stick a few paces away today but couldn't find where he was in the jungle even though prodded and dug around. Anyone tried one of those DIY stud detectors to find wayward traps?

Any ideas for low key marking of putanges. Lost one on a job today, paddock field with footpaths on two sides, so want to keep marking subtle but still be able to find the buggers.

Forgot to mention the last and most important stage of trap prep, (keep it to yourself mind), a light coating of talpa blanco au de femme juice. Just a little though as they have been known to hump traps clean out of the ground if over applied

Can't remember the choke, years since I put a gauge in it but full does ring a bell. Still got a load of the Record cartridges, smoke and flames out the spout as you say. Looking for lighter loads to match the light gun. Just wondering if I would need to go sub ounce loads (20 bore weight) to get a nice balance between recoil and stopping power. I can always try a few different loads but recommendation always a good place to start. Just wondering what other people are using in their singles.

Any recommendations for light load carts in 12 bore. Got an old baikal single I use for knocking about, she's old and rough but does the job, (like a good woman)! Anyway guns so light it kicks like a mule with 1 1/8 loads I use in the doubles, thinking of around something a bit under an ounce for a better balance but would obviously like to keep reasonable range.

Received a batch today, great quality traps but as usual needed a little bit of tweaking before going in. I find the snare wire hole down pin angle (at the 90 degree bend), a bit too much and twist the ends back to the side so the're just off being flat to the trap body, also trigger hooks need a tweak with pliers and a touch with a fine file. Bit of time and care now getting them spot on will save a lot of fiddling about later so time well spent I think.
