  1. for those who are interested here is the hunting laws for wisconsin http://dnr.wi.gov/files/PDF/pubs/wm/WM0431.pdf they are very similar to what i have to abide by
  2. Well hell, we have that too, plus a list as long as your arm of other game that would be out there. Herds of deer (4 kinds), elk (about like a stag), antelope, moose, mtn. goats, mtn. sheep. Wolves, coyotes, fox, mtn. lions, bear, bobcats, fisher, pine martins, coon, hares, rabbits, grouse, ducks, geese, turkeys, etc., etc... so out of that wonderful list of animals how many do you need to buy a tag for? how many are draw animals? how many do you need a fur license for? what would be the cost to shoot every animal on that list A small game license covers most of the smaller

  4. yes happens a bit over here.one reason why they have fish police. but saying this, that moose could of been gut/texas heart shot,i fled miles away from the hunter and died there, who knows. they found 7 moose shot and left, one time quite close to me you find deer in ditches missing their heads (this means a hunter just plugged a deer for the rack) sometimes its white man hunters sometimes its native hunters, its complicated I watched a few epiesodes of a series i forget what it was called about game wardens in the states targeting poachers and if the cought a poacher with a deer
  5. yes they have a fair few different rules. they can hunt as much as they want on their treaty land, there is a certain limit i think of 4 deer, one elk and moose a week. they cant hunt on private land unless they have permission white man cannot assist a first nations hunter anyway shape or form in my main hunting zone its a draw for elk.there is 1000's of them.there was 150 draw tags this year alone. so after the game season is finished the local council (RM) calls in the first nations hunters so they curb the elk numbers down. the government wont increase the number of draw tags though

  8. Oh yhea I forgot that everything's bigger and better in the good old U S of A ............For hunting he's got a very good point like......It's not as free and easy as he makes out ... different laws for different states ..... Nevertheless I'm betting policing ain't half as bad as over here..... I think you will find it's ten times worse ... check out how many wildlife police departments there are in America on top of the normal police ...... As I stated earlier, I've been hunting and fishing most of my adult life and have only been stopped a handful of times and never gotten a ticket o
  9. ok i have been in touch with my mate and he has updated his website to another that i posted this one has more details and email him if you need more information https://bucklistlodgeca.com/
  10. not sure on what his prices are for bear and elk. there is abundance of elk around and bears. i have a nice herd of elk were i hunt and the main bull is a monster rack, five feet in height atleast. elk are becoming a massive nuisance sorry mate no sheep/goat here in Sask. email darin through his website on here https://bucklistlodgeca.com/ he is a really good genuine guy. there are some outfitters/guides around who .....well.....hmmmmm i wouldnt give them the shit of my boot. just be mindful who you book with for elk,as some have elk game farms and you sit in the game pen. just say
  11. sorry for the loss there is nothing worse than losing a dog
  12. i can hook you up for a guided whitetail deer hunt here in Sask, canada. i think my mate who is a guide/outfitter charges around EDITED OUT AS I WAS WRONG SEE BELOW FOR UPDATED DETAILS for a whitetail, this includes the price of the tag he lodges and feeds the hunters but i am not sure if thats an extra charge. found his details https://bucklistlodgeca.com/ and here is the website of all the outfitters/guides in Sask http://www.soa.ca/home.html page 7 onwards for the tags fee's for non residents http://publications.gov.sk.ca/documents/66/93283-2016%20Hunters%20and%20Trappers%2
  13. nice pig enjoy the chorizo!! i went out yesterday and checked the card on a cam, buggers still coming in of a night to the bait. i pushed one piece of bush and nothing. we then went down to a frozen swamp.damn tracks all over but didnt see one.
  14. i am not entirely sure how it would effect the petition but there is a section were it has other countries and the number of signatures i will ask the lad who organised this and get back to you
  15. edit link pulled as it would devalue the petition from anyone voting outside of canada my apologies MODS can you delete this thread please
  16. i use a foxpro wildfire and bought a TOA external speaker and attached a jack plug to it. my word its loud and it does work. the foxpro hasnt let me down and i use it in -35c for coyotes.not that you will get those temps over there the foxpro hellfire model uses the TOA speaker but with a foxpro sticker on it. i picked up on this from a american varmint site. i picked up the speaker brand new for 30 quid, bit of wire and jack plug,15mins of your time and bingo. if you do go down this road, dont buy another other speaker. hope this helps we over here mix up the calls with hand
  17. do a google image search 'geese flighting sask' then you will see what i mean
  18. LOL its not as easy as grabbing a gun!! i phucking wish it was all game has a season, some shorter than others. you have to buy 'game tags' for the species. the province is split up into zones. some zones are 'open',these you buy a tag for that particular beast and off you go,but those zones are hectic with other hunters. some zones are 'draw',so you put your name in and hope for the best...eg mate has been waiting 12 yrs to hunt an elk. EDIT here is a link to the seasons, tag prices etc http://publications.gov.sk.ca/documents/66/93283-2016%20Hunters%20and%20Trappers%20Guide.pdf
  19. i have eaten untold amounts of wild boar but i always ensure its well cooked. there is people here in canada who eat bear meat, which trichynosis is prevalent in also. not tried bear meat and dont think i ever will lol
  20. i first bought a Heckler & Koch Sl8 in 223 just for pig hunting, but i found the 223 just didnt stop them. so i seen that VZ58 was a non restricted rifle( you can hunt with) and only $1000,plus $70 for the magwell conversion(so i could fit AR15 mags in) and 7.62x39 ammo is damn cheap as hell.the rifle weighs nothing also. all the pigs i shoot are no more than 70 yds,DRT 9 out of 10 times there is an abundance of elk here, where i hunt there is three herds with somewhere around the 400 head in the 8 sq miles moose are also plentiful, mule deer are making a return,we have had a

  22. i stand behind a tree or trees this is one spot i have the pigs come into the bait barrel this is another spot and another spot

I am so sorry for my english. dont worry about your english, its good. in a field as it was just walking around.i bumped into it. other pigs i shot have been ambushed over bait. we have lots over here. i have photos of 10 or more, thats why i bought the Kalash LOL
