  1. Nice looking dog there mate, hope he serves you well
  2. I use the 320, easy to use. Good bit of kit
  3. I have a saluki bull grey, 29 tts, quite long in stature if I'm honest but I think he would have had the minerals pre ban. Covers ground well and big enough to hold, just wish we could hunt more than rabbits nowadays
  4. I know your right lads, just keen me but I'm going to go down the pup route I've decided just not sure what I'm going to go for breedwise. I do like the cockers but if I'm honest I want it to open up my lurcher seems to work well to it but I know he will adapt as he quite a quick learner, only got him in December and he has done all I've asked of him, not a world beater but rarely go home empty handed
  5. Glad she's back where she belongs ?
  6. Never lasted long the fella supposed to have someone coming to take the dog but he will call if doesn't work out so out looking again. Not bothered if I have to get pup to be honest as I can then choose what I like and I'm in no rush for another couple of weeks as I'm off on holiday for a week soon and if I don't get something in place for when I get back I'll get myself a pup from good workers as soon as I back then put the time into it
  7. I've got a Russell x patt to have a look at, just under 2 years old and never been to ground neither did the parents. Hopefully have a trial with Her and if alls good then I will take her
  8. Sorry to hear that mate I imagine your gutted especially as she was such a good bitch for you. So wat are you thinking about getting next. Whatever you decide I hope it all goes well for you ?
  9. I understand what you mean, when I've been out bushing with a mate his dog is a great. Goes in anywhere and he's vocal which has been a great help but he has also stopped our mooching a couple of times as he's gone to ground but has done his job so can't complain but digging just not for me as I'll be out a lot on my own a lot
  10. Good job it wasn't in water that Shepard would have been dead ???
  11. Like the look of your busher white van man, does he go to ground aswel
  12. Looks like springer one of my best options then
  13. I do like the spaniel terrier x it's just I need something that doesn't go to ground. They seem to be a little vocal which alerts the lurcher and I like that. Do you think if you have a pup you can teach it not too I just imagine if it's on scent and it wants to go it will go down
  14. Do people think springer or cocker. I like the cocker as it seem to be that bit smaller for tighter spots but maybe a springer better as I'm hoping he takes a dislike to the old charlie
  15. I have done mate but replys a bit scarce not as busy as this section it seems. There's plenty of working pups on other sites just if I can get one off here and parents are working or one that maybe already done a bit. Just keeping my options open really seeing wats about, thanks for the reply though ?
