Another member on here advised me to get a vortek piston and gave me a contact so plan to give him a call, regarding shortening the barrel I have read on other forums exactly the same information and that's why SFS won't put their name to the 0.177....I'll take your advise on board there and before I put a hacksaw to my barrel I want to make sure it will improve the rifle. Cheers mate top advise there

Hahaha cheers mate I'll leave the hydro dipping to airsoft boys. I did see the photos of the carbon wrap jimmy (bigmac97kt) did on the day state and I must say that did look awesome, I'm glad you said that about the trigger because it was something I wanted to do but the rekord trigger is awesome as it is and I didn't really want that stress tbh so I'm happy to give that a miss.

Hello all, Today I picked up my weihrauch HW99s after waiting a week for it to be delivered, I chose the 0.177 caliber as all my other rifles are 0.177 and tbh I love that pellet choice. I have read a lot of reviews and forum posts regarding this rifle and from what I reasearched this rifle is a little dark horse. I've read power output can be a problem and the 0.22 is a better rifle to tune but that being said I still want to get the very best out of is rifle, so the day I brought it I also perchased a Welsh willy drop in kit and plan to home fettle her and see if I can make an aweso

Oh shit...looks like this tune is going to be a ball ache.lol I've gone for .177, the good news is I have you guys available to help me when I stumble across a problem. I've heard good things and bad regarding this rifle so I have tried to keep an open mind knowing I'm going to take the thing apart and have a little play. I wanted a little rifle that didn't cost too much, something I can play about with and once I'm able to obtain a permission this will be geared up for my hunting rifle. I saw some YouTube videos from Rez when he borrowed an imp and took that to the field, big thumbs up for t

Will do mate, I plan on doing a review straight out the box and then step by step guide when I start taking it apart, I'm sure I'll need some advise like I did when I stripped my HW77;) I've (weihrauch) set the bar high with the hw77 and I love that rifle to bits so I'm hoping I can fettle this little rifle so it's on par with the HW77. Also because I now will have 2 rekord triggers I'm going to watch some more YouTube videos on stripping and polishing the trigger and I'm going to give that ago when I stip her down.

As it's my birthday today I decided to treat myself. Sadly I have to wait a couple of days which is not a problem, have just ordered my Welsh willy drop in kit for it, so that tells you it's a nice little springer...I am going to be a proud owner of a weihrauch HW99s. One very happy man
-
I went for a HW77K but read all the comments from the lads here beforehand about weihrauch needing a little tinker to make them sweeter so brought a drop in kit and gave it a little tune while I had it apart, was a top rifle before, now she's up there with With the best of the best. I also want a break barrel to add to my collection so will be getting a HW99s, buying a Welsh willy kit and will have a top end break barrel (I hope) What ever you go for just make sure you spend your cash wisely and choose a rifle that will hold its value in the 2nd hand market. Hello all, I watch quite a lot of YouTube videos about all aspects of air gunning, I see a lot of videos are shot at petes air gun farm, went on the website to find out a bit more. Just wanted to know if anyone from this forum goes and just general feedback. I live in Northampton so a fair drive to get there, so was considering maybe doing a two day and camp one night. Thank for your advise Richard

Pcp Or Springer New Shooters
Richard Collett replied to Richard Collett's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Oh that was the other problem I had regarding the caliber. As I planned to start out pinking and target praticing I read the .177 was the best so that's what I went with. As a kid I shoot 0.22 but didn't understand anything about trajectory etc. -
I'm new to shooting my self and am lucky enough to own both a PCP and a springer, but before I brought my first rifle (PCP) I remember the days/weeks deciding on what to buy, both have their pros and both have cons. The day I walked into my range to buy my rifle I had decided I wanted brand new and a entry level springer, my chosen rifle was a walther terrus, they didn't have any in stock so I shouldered a weihrauch 99s, breautiful rifle, decided that was the rifle I wanted. Went to pay for it and the debit card machine was not working (the guy pulls out this contraption for carbon printi

My Hw77K Review And Future Plans
Richard Collett replied to Richard Collett's topic in General Airgun Discussion
After striping the gun the other day to try and add the pfte I chrono the rifle and she had creapped over the 12ft/lb legal limit. The spring had bedded in so I knew that unless I compressed a spring my rifle would always be over. So that night I ordered a blow torch of eBay and I got home from work to receive a little parcel... I had been shooting at lunch today and she had been shooting like a dream, so before I stripped her I decided to chrono just to make sure the power she was putting out. (Still wasn't looking forward to compressing the spring so hoped she would be legal...she wasn
