  1. Thought it was good alright!
  2. I'm sure you probably know this but as it initially confuses most diving students i thought i'd point out that it's a simple matter to work out the actual volume or 'free air' contained in a cylinder by multiplying its flooded volume by the actual pressure in the cylinder at that point, ie 3litre cylinder at 232 bar holds 696litres of air 3litre cylinder at 300bar holds 900 litres of air 7 litre at 232 bar holds 1624 litres 7litre at 300 bar holds 2100 litres 10litre at 232 bar holds 2320 litres 10 litre at 300 bar holds 3000 litres and so on
  3. Used 243 and 270 on deer and chamois in New Zealand but went for 6.5x55 when getting my deer rifle here. Very pleased with it so far, flat-shooting, accurate. lower recoil than a 270 and haven't had excessive meat damage with it. Plan to try it on foxes and a bit of target shooting during the close season next year. I believe it's a popular round with the long-range target boys. Spud
  4. Good film and a good laugh, like you say hopefully it might get a few joe public actaully thinking about things instead of taking for granted whatever sh#te they read in the tabloids. Spud
  5. Off topic but like your signature at end of your posts, good quote. Spud
  6. Just get some decent rope, like yachty stuff and not polyprop. Tie a bowline in one end to leave a loop you can have loosely around your wrist and then just hold the free end in same hand, the strain will mostly be on the loop and not the free-end. Oh and stop the c#nt pulling so hard while yer at it!

    Joke

His and Her's Diary; Page 1 Saturday Her's: He was quiet, subdued, just not himself. Something is wrong, he hasn't kissed me all day. Not even looked in my direction. It must be another woman. I went to bed and cried. He followed me up an hour or two later. I cuddled up to him and stroked his back. He lay still, staring into the dark. Eventually we made love and i fell asleep in his arms. His: Ireland lost again in the Rugby. F#cking gutted. Got a ride though!

  13. Any sites anyone can suggest for reasonably priced paintings or prints of Fieldsports/Wildlife? I'm looking for a few but in particular something similar to Julian Friers' paintings of Red Stags in the hills. Cheers Spud
  14. Have to say the little dealings i've had with them i've found individual rangers sound and reasonable but get the impression the managment side of NPWS is dominated by tossers. Just like every other state agency in this country!

  19. Was out early sat morning on one of the farms where I have deer permission. Had watched 5 stags several times recently but they were on neighbouring land. Spotted two stags as first light came. One with a better head and this one, left the better one and took this fella at about 180yrds. Ran about 20yards and down he went. Two hinds and a calf stood up on skyline at the shot but didn't have a safe shot on any of them so let them on. Nice shot through heart and lungs, the ravens and grey crows arrived as i finished the gralloch and started the drag out. Farmer well pleased and so was I .
