  1. Looks like a good haul there mate!
  2. Cracking phots and fine beasts.
  3. Just got the Striker 170 with dimmer switch yesterday. Only used it last night for an hour or two as there wasn't much out. Very pleased with it, glad i went for the dimmer switch as on full power i'd say it would mill through battery life. Don't need the full power most of the time but nice to have it when needed. I didn't go for the 140 as i reckoned i'd have to run it with dimmer at full power most of the time.
  4. Cheers guys, Hey's 16 months old. No pics from last night but will be out again fri so fingers crossed there'll be something to take a pic of then too! Here's a non-hunting pic of him in meantime.
  5. Out for a quick shine last night and "Meister" caught his 3rd and 4th rabbits. Both retrieved live to hand. Need to work a bit on the handover though as he let both go as i was reaching for them but scooped both back up again. Well pleased as they were cracking chases. Called it a night early cos my c#nting old lamp kept acting up. Spudlington
  6. Has anyone ordered or seen any of these dvd's as advertised every week in Countryman's Weekly? Was thinking of ordering a few of the Hawking/Falconry ones and Waterloo Cup 05. Anyone know if they're any good or total w#nk?! Cheers Spudlington
  7. Used to do a a dump and the fields around it. Had to walk through a rugby pitch and golf course to get to it and often nailed bunnies on them. Dump has been cleaned up a lot and there's f#cking apartments everywhere now too, haven't lamped there in years.
  8. Hi mate and welcome. Do you lamp with dogs or shooters? Where are you based? Spud
  9. Dublin/Connemara/Wexford cross!
  10. Magtech subs very accurate through my CZ as are the Winchester when they can be gotten. Have had poor results from Remington subs, very inconsistent, with a huge range of velocity over only one box.
  11. Out for a wander with .22 this morning, was a bit late getting up so not many above ground. Saw 3 black ones including this fella.
  12. Hi mate, What's the name of that dvd? Want to get back into the shotgun again, have been concentrating on dogs and rifles for last few years. Cheers Spud
  13. Cracking looking pup you have there and in great condition. Look forward to seeing how she develops. Spudlington
  14. Nice one Frank. Love the look of the whippet x greyhound, he's in good shape! Spud
  15. Resizing tool sorted! Here's a few more pics for ya Digdeep.
  16. Cheers lads! He's a deerhound x greyhound and is 14months old. Didn't get him entered earlier as i've only recently got access to good rabbit ground here in S.E. Really noticed how much longer the deerhounds take to mature but he's really running his heart out now. Well chuffed!
  17. Out for a lamp last few nights and "Meister" made his his first 2 catches, both retrieved live to hand. Happy Spudlington! Have better quality pics but they're too big, is there a re-sizing tool on here?
  18. Hope he works out well for you mate. What was the other colours like in the litter, the bitch you mentioned? Asking, as a mate, was thinking of getting a rabbiting lurcher. Cheers, Frank. Cheers lads, 2 other dogs in litter, one similar markings but with more brown, wider head and chest. Other dog was brindle with lovely dark face, slightly smaller but seemed too shy/easily spooked for my liking. 3 bitches, mostly grey/brindles i think but as i say i was only really looking at the dogs. Where in the west are you roughly based mate? Lived in Connemara for years and did a fair
  19. Pup is a dog although I had the choice of a beautiful bitchfrom same litter but a dog suits me better. Am running a deerhound greyhound at the moment but have picked up a lot of good rabbit permission recently so wanted something a bit shorter.
