Nice guns but as with all 410's, the cartridges are a bit pricey compared with 12 bore.

One thing I forgot to mention, no one should ever be afraid to ask their Firearms Department for advice, they are there to help and I am pleased to say that the people at my Firearms Department (Lincolnshire) are very helpful and the FEO always let’s you have his mobile number. -
filling in my application form

It's any one of good social standing that has known you for some time, for my SGC I get our Post Master to sign. Doctors usually charge a fee. Guns in your possession = none, and if I remember correctly you must state none on the form otherwise it can delay your application. Once your SGC is granted and you buy your first gun the details must be entered on your certificate, you must then notify your Firearms Department ASAP, I photocopy the details entered on the SGC and also copy the receipt, I send this information together with a covering letter, job done. Good luck with your application -
I'm only offering because this situation could get expensive and could also take this guys sport away from him. It's not often I share my permissions with anyone, but in this situation someone has to help out. I'd hope someone would do it for me if I was in the same situation. As it says at the top of the beginner section "we must always remember together we stand divided we fall.....". I'd hate to see anyone have their sport taken away from them! Well said mate, top man Has TSA taken you up on your generous offer.

What a marvelous offer njc, wish I lived near by I’d be knocking on your door today. Welcome to THL mate.

Why? its not illegal, it was in season and i had permission. i dont really care if you "recommend" it or not. if its not against the law and was killed humanely why remove it? Theres plenty worse throughout the rest of the forum, have you deleted the entire catapults thread in the gamekeeping section or the canada goose shot with an air gun thats been on here lots of times? Its funny how attitudes change over the years, my Dad used to tell me of his working days during The Second World War as a plough man, and how he used to shoot Plovers and Gull’s from his tractor with a catapult, t

That's an interesting looking stock mate How are you going to finish the wood, paint or oil?? A friend of mine has done a similar job and he fitted an adjustable butt pad, made a nice stock.

hi mate the reason i use a brick is because they blow up to, you hit it or you dont and at that range on a brick you see the bullet strike no probs and when you turn it side on as i did when i shot it @365yds is about the same size as a crow, no special reason for using bricks i just like to see em blow up Can’t argue with that mate.

That's a good line, I like it. ratman, it is not a line,.............. it's a fact!! Well no matter what it is, I like it.

HRH has good taste, she's a pretty lass.

Nice shooting but just out of interest, why did you use a brick?? One of my favorite things I use for targets are beer cans filled with water, very dramatic results if you hit them dead center.
-
Thanks for the advice chaps, I think I'll give it a try.

Yep, I've got a mile of river up there; lovely part of the world. The site is far from finished yet, but its getting there; just not enough time to do everything!! As for this thread; its been suggested that celebs might not want to publicly be associated with field sports for fear of reprisals or for fear of people peering to close to their private lives; and why should they publicly stand up if we as individuals are not prepared to do the same. For my part, I am, as are many I'm sure whe have marched etc. As mere mortals we are unlikely to get much in the way of individual media at

I'm thinking of getting a semi for sporting clays and skeet, I've seen a Baikal for sale at next to nothing, £. Have any of you used or owned one, what are they like for reliability. I'm not bothered about cosmetics, just functionality. Thanks in advance. Rob

if you have a ferret or get a loan of one and stake him out with a collar and apeice of string one magpie will spot him and start his call warnimg of a predator any magpies around will join him. There gaurd will be down as they will be 2 busy mobbing the ferret and you can pick them off quite easily.when you shoot ur first one let ferret have it .This will drive them wild bringing magpies from miles around.Just keep popping them off.I have shot hundreds this way That's a new one on me, sounds like fun and I'm going to give it a go, thanks mate.

I also live in an area that is mainly country roads, and unfortunately the road I live near to is a direct route to several caravan and camping sites. The Grockels pass by at break neck speeds towing their sheds and I swear they use the cats eyes as a guide, driving by Braille we call it round here, you can hear them go past by the ‘be dum be dum be dum’ noise car wheels make as they run over the cats eyes.

Piss off Munro Man............. Now that's below your normal standard Mr Sporting Agent, shame on you. No doubt the next comment will be from Ms Andrea or one of your other chaps. Write constructive posts or interesting threads instead of jumping in with one line insults or put downs will you. I'm sure your profile says you are over 18, yet there are guys on here in their teens that provide more interesting and constructive posts than you. Then why do you bother to respond to my posts.
