  1. Has anybody any experience of using these locators?
  2. Shame it dont rain every night! Perhaps then the local foxes might have half a chance
  3. This might seem a damn right daft question but if you put a dog to ground in a very shallow place could you see whats happening with a thermal imager?
  4. Theyve still got the pieps box advertised on the website
  5. Anyone asked for the pieps as a replacement instead of another red brick?
  6. Does anyone wear these for digging and are they worth the money? What other gore tex trousers are people wearing?
  7. Dont know if id be brave enough to pour boiling water over £280 worth of locator!
  8. Could this be done onto any wood? Perhaps a bit of furniture? Just an idea but maker a better coffee tabke than something the missus would buy
  9. The lads that genuinely keep 'hard' dog wont be on here discussing them for any joe public to see they will be keeping themselves to themselves working there terriers and keeping there heads down. Just my opinion
  10. The performance might not be any better but from what ive seen its the percentage of workers that comes from a decent line that makes the difference
  11. I started with a bitch from unknown breeding then bought a dog in from worker to worker breeding. As time past i got to know a few lads who kept a decent line and its progressing from there. If i could of skipped those early years i would be in a better position now but perhaps i was better making my mistakes with those dogs and then and not now with pups with more potential
  12. Just wondering how many lads out there started with a 'ready made' line of terriers and how many of you started with a terrier bought in from unproven parentage?
  13. No i havent but i made one out of a 6ft digging bar so you had a 6ft graft or bar. Or a 3ft bar when broke down. Made another out of a 6ft fencing graft that was a handy tool. If you know a welder they cost little to make and can be made in no time. The shovel took me no more than 10minutes to make
  14. Theyll take the weight of any tractor implement!
  15. Ive done one with a 6ft graft before if thats what you mean? Works well and fits in the quad box
  16. For any of you wanting to make a decent 2 piece easily, i got a 20quid spear and jackson roundmouth. Cut where the shaft and head are welded together then get a cat2 lower link arm pin. The pin end will slide into the handle and make a solid fit that just needs a weld then weld the nut to the end of the shovel head. Works a treat! Farmer boys will know what i mean by a link arm pin
