Scilly's is really good for chilling out, Tresco gardens are amazing and boat trips to the other off islands are really interesting but there's not much, if anything to do if it's raining lol. A 3/4 day stay is probably enough tbh if your used to "doing stuff". Cheers, D.

  10. I spoke on the phone to my daughter last week and asked what her fella and the twins were doing. She said they're watching the football, I said there's no football on, she said women's world cup, I said that's not football. I got a long Daaaaaaad! As a response. My granddaughter plays in a mixed football team, 12 years old ? Perhaps I'm out of touch ??? Cheers, D.
  11. 300 + houses (for up country council overspill, with less than 100 for private buys some of which will be let out) built on the last 3 fields I used to do after a night local, just one more run ? and new council offices and doctors, plus a little industrial estate, We're no longer a hamlet, were annexed to the town, built up on one side of the road and 70% on the other ? Cheers, D.

September is the best month in Cornwall imo, great weather, fabulous colours in the countryside and on the coast. Most of the families of holiday makers have f****d off and there's less manic activity in the pubs, on the beaches and on the roads. Pasties are usually the best from any local butchers, Ginsters are shite, as are Proper Cornish. Philps or Hamptons from Hayle are usually top notch, as are Portreath Bakery's or Barnecutts. ? It's jam first on scones before any of those Devonians tell you otherwise.? Cheers, D.

When Eden started up back along you could get a locals pass and go in and see the construction happening. £3 with a photo ID card. When it opened you got a years pass for £30, just a swipe card, no photo. We rented ours out for a fiver a time ? Cheers, D.
