    Reading some of these posts has made me think my ferrets dont work the warrens thougherly enough, as ive been ferreting for 3 seasons now. only for a few hours on a sunday morning and most ive had on day was 12. Ive never had to use a spade to dig to a kill... although i have had to cut a length of bramble out the hedge to feed into the warren and grab a rabbit. It was only 6-7 foot in the hole. So you could say i could have dug to it. I use smallish jills sandy coloured without collars then take a hob to collar up if needed. I like to think my ferrets go in and work proper

    Id say if you enjoy shooting it, keep it and buy fac you like. Then if you stop shooting it because you dont use it anymore then sell it on. FF

    Managed to get out this morning to do some range testing of 3 rifles. Theoben fenman .20 Hw77 .22 Hw97k .22 It was a pretty crap day for the wind started of left to right 5-10 mph then right to left 5-10 mph. I dont think i should have bothered to be honest. I should have waited for the right conditions. Red was the fenman Green was the 77 Blue was the 97 White tac in the middle was with my daystate regal xl .177 10-45 meters Managed to write all my mildot marks down so will check next time im out with them. FF

    Just reallised that at anything but zero im possibly going to be hitting the other aim points... Oh well will see how it goes and put a pic up... I expect it to look like someones shot it with a shotgun. FF

    I decided to make a range board as i had half n hour spare... Ive got 3 airguns to set up 1) hw77 .22 1990 with ritcher 3-12×50 2) hw97 .22 2001 with hawke 4-16×50 3) theoben fenman .20 2007 with hawke10x42 All are zero'd at 30 meters. Is this an adaquate range to be zero'd at for all rifles? FF

    Welcome along buddy. Great gun they are too. I have one in .22 i have stripped mine degreased, polished and short stroked it with a tinbum kit. Removed the crap bear trap (that wont save your thumb anyway). Polished the trigger sears to make it smoother on release. I now have hardly any recoil. And accurracy is spot on. The titanium piston is quite special, but not sure if any one does it any more. FF If i remember correctly its a shooting at dawn video.

    There are 2 slotted adjusters inside the box i think they adjust depth signal. FF

    Yeah... shots taken from standing leant on car, rifle rested on a bsa cushion. Ive got springers hw57 77 97 but never owned a gas ram... different recoil and a break barrel and a short barrel at that too. Im confident the groups will pull in closer, like you say with practice. Got to get to know the gun and put some pellets through her. Not quite sure on the scope on her at the moment, its a hawke sidewinder 10x42 only spare scope i got at the minute. FF

    Have you crhonographed the muzzle velosity? Ftlb under12 I had a 95 that was spiraling the pellet (like a corkscrew effect) But that was more to do with distance Ie left at 15m low at 20m right at 25m. FF

    The perfeckt trigger is one thats like the rekord but doesnt have the safety. It might as i think about it be the same sears and adjustments. I cant remember if the 85 had them... I think the hw50 did??? And another one. Or i dreamed it...not sure now. To many or not enough drugs ? FF

    Could be scope paralax issue... is your shooting posture the same each time? What scope are you using? Do you know the history of the gun? Ie has the barrel been off? Is there chaffing around the breach seal, is the breach seal ok? Is the trigger ok... not hard to pull? Not sure if thats got a rekord or perfeckt trigger? Barrel clean, pull through? Ive just done this on mine and my groups are tightening up. Pellets... what ones are you using? Ive just done some testing yesterday and found a certain pellet doing the same at 25 meters.     After pellet testing the fenman this morning, went out for a wonder around the perm. Only saw one inside shooting range at about 30 meters. Numbers looked good but very skitish for some reason. FF

    Out this morning to do some .20 pellet testing... very kindly donated by pav off here... thank you buddy. I originally was using HnN FTT, zero'd at 25 meters. I cleaned the barrel last night and done 6 shot groups this morning. Bisley pest was the worse at grouping, it couldnt of been me pulling the shots? Weihrauch where 2nd worse JSB where next HnN ftt where still the better pellet, after the barrel clean and about 50 shots to re-lead the barrel quite happy with the grouping so much so i went out hunting with it, and got a rabbit only one i had inside comf
