  1. Very nice WB ! I am about to build a court - where's the best place to pick up some corrugated tubing ? Good tip that
  2. Good afternoon ! Can anyone help with the selection of a suitable replacement whistle for my lurcher ? I've had two or three plastic shepherds whistles but, lost them all !! [Note to self . . attach cord to prevent further losses ] I've been looking on 'that' auction site for a replacement and noticed some Acme dog training whistles [210.5 & 211.5 pitch] as well as the usual shepherds whistle. My questions are: - Should I stick with a shepherds style whistle, which my dog [of 18 months] is already used to ? NB : She is is only used to a similar sound each time as,
  3. Thanks Kreet, Marko and Samet Sam [aw that looks very similar to mine but, thankfully Sky's is not as deep] So . . . keep it clean and dry, rest her for a week and don't let her do her usual 'look how fast I can run' waddlit on hard ground for 3-4 weeks ??
  4. My seven month old lucher bitch slit her pad yesterday . . . didn't notice until I got home as there was no howl/whine [hard as nails they are see ] I am guessing she did it whilst digging [as she is a booger for it] . . . She has slit the large pad on her front right paw and also slit about a centre metre or so along her paw behind the pad. There wasn't loads of blood or anything but it looks quite nasty. It's not real deep or anything [but, I would be feeling sorry for myself if it was my foot !!]. Bathed the paw in salt water and left her to it last night [licking it better

  7. " Hello everyone " Only found this forum yesterday . . looks like a gem of a find too ! Thought I'd best introduce myself rather than lurk in the background absorbing all the info Recently became the proud owner of a Lurcher bitch [3/4 Greyhound, 1/4 collie] who's now 16 weeks old - wow, where has that time gone ! Never had a dog before so, hoping to learn from you lads and lasses and hopefully, enjoy a bit of banter with like minded people. Stuart
