  5. I have a browning x bolt with fluted barrel, so far happy can't comment more its new to me too. Good luck there is a lot to think about and see. How about waiting for a couple of weeks and get yourself to the shooting show and have a look around.

  7. Also depends on what clay grounds you ar thinking of attending. Your not far away from me so might be able to offer som advice on this, as I us d to hav a semi auto and was frowned apon in a few places too.

  12. Would like to know why someone said forget the hawke as I have one on order with new gun and thought it was quite good tbo the model I chose was the 6x24x56 in 20x half mildot. Any thoughts on this would be great fully welcome before I splash the cash.
  13. What a shame I'm not far away and still waiting for my certificate to come through after a break from previously from do the same type of vermin control. Let me know if you don't get any success as I'm hoping it won't take long for the cert to come along. Good luck
  14. Tell me about it, just trying to get back into after 4 years living abroad. It's going to take months to my certificate sorted. Never mind getting some land. Although find some that I can do with the air riffle in the meantime.

  17. I'm in the same situation as the op. So from what I'm understanding by the majority of replies is the hmr is being recommended more than anything else, I was also thinking that it would be slightly safer with less richotte (if that's how you spell it) for a newbie. Am I right???
