    remember seeing that on tv, in slow motion when the shark bites his calf it stretches it out about 6 inches ? also when they lose a tooth, they've got a new one ready to replace it!

    It's always harder when the other owner hasn't a clue. I've had to separate dogs then shout at the owner to grab their mutt, even when separated you could see some of the owners were scared to grab their dog

    Sorry your wife got nipped, but I learnt the hard way about separating dogs as a kid, nowadays I assess the situation first before grabbing hold of the dog, i'd rather the dog took a bite than me It does amaze me that people with powerful dogs have no idea how to control them or what to do when it does kick off

    Can't understand why we don't have more great white sightings in our waters, the waters not too cold and there's plenty of seals, where's the marine equivalent of Greyman?

    "ecologist and zookeeper" ha! what about the effect the number of badgers has on other wildlife, eg hegdehogs, ground nesting birds etc these idiots protecting one species in favour of others, what idiots, haven't they heard of a natural balance or would that interfere too much with their agendas? Also zookeeper = animal jailer in my book

    best to find somewhere with shallow entry, let the dog get used to the water. remember one bullterrier I had, he went to follow the older dog into the pond, he was fine until his balls touched the water, he froze didn't know what to do!

    And people think pups are fun! When mine was a pup put tobasco sauce on any wood and exposed cables she might chew, it worked but left a bit of an orange tinge!
