    I’ve just got a Beagle puppy. She’s just under 3 month. Nose always to the floor. She’s just started running her nose into brambles and stuff now and started to follow her own nose rather than following the other dogs. Do fancy a Beagle Spaniel aswel. Could be my next addition to the pack that then I’m done...honest ????

    For me I like to turn up on a field like an Apache gunship. I flick into scan mode using the red beam to highlight any potential targets. One detected 80yard! I prime my four legged missile which also scans the field with built in night vision and state of the art air scent detection system. Target acquired “Fox one” missile is released and like a f****n tomahawk she navigates the contours of the field with an ongoing risk assessment for any dangers in its path.     What do you think of the so called window on socialisation. With guard/yard dogs they keep them away from people and don’t let them socialise with anyone through it’s early months. When someone hops a fence they end up feeling the sharp side. Would a pup not experiencing other dogs and people early on hinder it in any way. What your thoughts?

    Now you mention that you can see this behaviour when they play. They look around at what they can play with as prey. Be it a slipper, pair of socks, a tennis ball. It’s something so obvious that i don’t even notice. It’s juts like the other dogs being out constantly sniffing and scanning. So when we go to cage up the dog and it resists or go to take the ball and it tries To bite your hand is this the dog reacting like your a predator towards it and reaction defensively. Like a scale of attack and defense instincts. How do we then use this knowledge to help with our bonding and training.

    I always worry more about the dogs I have on when the bitches are in season they can get very...”possessive” ? Not fun if you got dogs kennelled up together either.
