Me and a mate were lamping a big field one of us down each side. But one rabbit ran away from the hedge and out on my beam. My mate just happened to

  11. ive seen someone on here mention doing recovery training, have you heard of this? I'm guessing it's going to be some kind of sprint and recover using lure possibly.
  12. I get what your saying. What sort of mileage on the road and how often do you do road work. Just that a lot of people differ.
  13. Sorry for you loss mate. I lost one of my own this year. Really looking forward to getting this pup for him so I'm just gonna keep my ears and eyes open. After all the searching I'm getting abit broody for one myself hahaha
  14. I've read the book by Penny Taylor and it's a good read. just seeing if anyone has any out of the box kind of training which gives a different approach to getting there dogs really fit fast.
  15. Hahaha good shout...remember when you was a kid and your parents were like "Do not let the dogs out!" because you had an out of control menace to society Dogs and your a kid with a strong heart for equal rights canine and otherwise. Your dogs are there at the door looking at you like please just let us run this neighbourhood We'll be back soon.... pinky promise. Then you open the door and let he dogs free. Mum comes down the stairs see's the door open and shouts " Who let the dogs out! "
  16. I think custom built is always the best way. Learn from the ones you built before and improve on them for access, cleaning, heating, insulation etc. Always feels good once you have built a new kennel with your dogs inside, for me anyway.
  17. Right so I've only started running dogs the last couple of years. Started reading reading and more reading to learn as much as possible about getting dogs fit. What are the fitness regimes you put your dog through to get them in tip top shape for the season?
  18. One will come up soon. Probably not many litters on the go at the minute. There's no rush. The pup is for my father in law. He was in bits losing his Beddy Whippet a few months back and now he's said he wants another so we are looking for him. The hunt will continue!
  19. yeah I had some strange looks in the chemist and a couple of phone calls I gave up . The pup has got a small scan on its head and is irritated with on legs and is nibbling at it .... It looks like the start of something , possibly mange. I've recently gone through the mange routine and after going through this site getting all kinds of recomendations the arsenal that worked for me is as follows: Killitch Cutaneous Emulsion, this is Benzyl Benzoate from Horse Store called Robinsons. Itch Gone Shampoo which contains Neem Oil, also from same Store. Neem Oil off EBay. Mixed this with
  20. they'll prob be more versatile,Picking hairs but add makes no sense, that whippet is pups grandsire but parents aren't off a whippet They definitely sound the part mate. Some adds I've seen for Beddy Whippets are for pet homes only. I've been in touch with a guy from Llnadudno who is hoping for a litter in 9 weeks from working stock. That's the only link I've got so far. Fingers crossed one comes up.
  21. I think Working Beddy x Whippets are a little scarce ATM. Seen a few litters but not working lines. Thought there would be more about. Sure one will come up.
