    Being a lad just starting out and admittedly not knowing a great deal...Can somebody point me in the right direction with lamp filter colours and what you've found best..Can't seem to find much info on what colours are best. ATB JB

    Bitch pup from 1st X Cocker / Patterdale almost 12 months. This pup is flying now, putting a fox to ground and one into the open yesterday along with a shed load of pheasants up off the ground. Was hoping to get her on some fresh scent from another 4 legged animal we spotted plenty of but just wasn't the day for it !

    Hahaha i'll never forget that night ! Made even worse being stood with a pup on a lead screaming his lungs off to get in on the action and being way to early to enter for the easy slip as he ran past both of us to freedom, had to give to the cheeky b*****d though. You missed the bit where he bounced off the fence like something off WWF over the top of the dogs for another close escape !     Cheers mate! Sounds like yours will push a big height being that size now! I'll have the growth plate and yapping police on my back but he's nabbed a few easy bunnies on the lamp already got no doubts for him next season he'll fly at it!

    I've got one. Not overly impressed works well for watching close up with the adjustable beam but not ideal for dogs actually running. I went for 67mm and cool colour temp which was a bad move on my part. You can't make rabbits out in a field very easily and the dog seems to get lost in the weird coloured beam. I'll sound like some others on here...but the halogens are way better for actually running game!

    Cheers mate, Yeah he's eating a crazy amount for his size i just keep filling his bowl until he stops 3 times a day at the moment with all sorts ! Got him on a good quality dry and raw as his last meal at night plus leftovers from the kitchen!

    Quick update on how Jet is coming on. All sorts in his mix easier just to call the moaning little sh*t a 1/4 bull lurcher. He's 21inch now and pushing 45 lbs eating like a small horse and a bit of knuckle left so hoping he's still growing and he'll do another inch or 2 which all i wanted from him! Can't wait to get stuck into conditioning him once he's grown and putting as much game in his mouth as i can!

    Almost finished this..Enclosed 6ftx4ft kennel inside the run with double windbreak can lock the kennel and run separately so locked in kennel at night then in the run all day. Even in minus temps the dogs come out warm in morning. All in about £400 plenty good enough for my pot lickers.

    Looks to be heading that way soundly doesn't he! My pup would be the same size as your Black and Tan next to him at the same age! Atb with him !!
