Bullet availability problems
Wolfdog91 replied to shovel leaner's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Could have sworn there where some eu companies making stuff , remember a guy I watch getting some 6.5 projectiles sent to him from over seas .....think it was fox or something. Honestly surprised somone hasn't just kinda set up shop making projectiles over there to help compete with the whole ammo scare rotation from the US. -
Bullet availability problems

Yep just went by Walmart and stuff is coming back mainly shotgun stuff and a few odds and ends but it's better than it's been prices are still kinda high though , finally got se .22lr and had to spend $18 for a 325rd bulk pack of federal. Used to be like $10 -
Just curious what everyone prefers ? For me it's Strelok+ think it was less than $5 off the app store and does about everything I want. Lots of ways to input info , option of tables, angles , of ect. Even adjusts your hold over depending on your scopes magnification if your using a SFP scope. Just curious what everyone else likes

As for bait use something that's going to leave a good oil slick and kinda tough. Oily fish like frozen carp, is a preferred here. Also cattle range cubes are liked by some since they last so long. Just nothing rotten. A can of cat food with a few small holes poked in it is good as well if that's all you got Another bit if advice. Add a bait cage that will keep your bait in the middle of the trap. If it's right best to the side they'll just sit on the out side trying to eat it though the mesh

Yeah it's mainly greys for us. They do better in the thick stuff and cut overs we have

I'm about in the same boat as you with that one lol. Never messed with one of the Brownings has a good reputation so don't reckon it could be too bad. Personally I love my 10/22 .I get the classic one with a wood stock irons 10rd mag ect. Stuck a $50 3-9 scope on it and honestly it's kinda boring how well it just works lol. I can keep single hole groups with mine out to 45yd pretty easy with cheap ammo. Not to mention theirs more after market parts for them then you can imagine. What are you looking for exactly ? A plinker ? Hunting ? Fun or classy looking ?

After a little tweaking it works on rats too ! Good think too they've been causing heck and the fox needed something to learn on if you get my drift
-
I reckon that would make sense ? I'm just used to over here most invasives don't require any real liscense . Snake heads ,pythons ,wild hogs ,iguanas ,ect just require something like a basic fishing license or similar. But different deal over there.
-
Hay you actually cathing something with yours lol! If it works it work! About how big is that cage ?
-
Wait I thought these were invasive ? you have to be licensed to remove an invasive species?

I swear I though I responded to this there's a few times already ? very interesting design! I'll have to teak it though sure to the way I set. I see Any brush falling over the set rods forthe doors could really be a problem but ! I think I may have an idea or two. As far as trap , haven't caught the weasel ( apparently it my have been somones pet ferret from up the road ) but it's been hell on these baby possums lol

No more pictures haven't made into in a while, when I get home if I have some wire laying around I'll build one pretty quick and post pictures but here's a video of basically how I did mine. Only difference is I pained mine to help them deal with rust and I used rabbit clips instead of slip ties. And here's a much better version. I really liked this one but their Abit more work and cost compared to chicken wire. I added a bait cage in the middle of mine when I build these Since your craw fish are bigger I'd make my funnels Abit bigger ?
-
Y'all can save alot of money and just get a roll of chicken wire and make pillow traps Their super easy used to make them all the time takes like 10min the fist time and all you need is some rabbit cage clips or even just zip ties
-
Anyone mess with these? Local place has the base line version for $156. Figured for the money can't go too wrong.
-
O you have no clue lol crawfish that size would bring a massive premium over here. And I'm in south Mississippi
-

-

Round Conibears for squirrels
Wolfdog91 replied to Wolfdog91's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
.... Someone needs to explain this law deal. I'm still used to stuff being legal dude to size. Like you can only use say 110's-160 on dry land or similar. Are y'all saying each and every trap has to be reviewed then legalized? -
