Those are some great groups ! And I gotta say , to hell what others think, the outdoor community has why too many upright gear snobs. I bet my bottom dollar most just lol at name brand on a piece of equipment and few really know anything. Funny story. Also from what I kept getting reccomended 35lbs seems to be the magic number for beginners for traditional bows but idk seem a little on the light side , but if you just shooting in the garden

Yeah without the adjustable sites it definitely a bit harder but not impossible. That being said you can put sites on a recurve. A lot more feel and technique then A compound imo. I think it's akin to bench rest vs sling / position shooting. You still HAVE to have the fundamentals of shooting down it's just with one you have more mechanical advantages to take some factors out but the other you have less mechanical help. But Also more tuning and personal stuff . Like I i prefer to shoot three under no, gap , finger savers on my string. Others prefer split finger , tab , gap so on so on. No to

O sorry bud , ment to respond to you on your last post. But yes it's a black hunter. So far I like it pretty well for the whole $100 something bucks I paid for it new. It is a bit longer then I'd like though but being 5'1" most normal sized stuff it's a bit big for me lol. Will say though id definitely get a good bit lighter weight then your compound. I shit 70lbd on my compound pretty comfortably when I ordered my black hunter which is a 55lbs if I remember right aaannnd honestly I feel a bit over bowed I can still shoot it but meeeeh I'm a lil shaky. Probably will be ordering some 45lbs limb

Figured some here would enjoy this. Been fortunate enough to meet Mr.Kenny a few times in person, great guy to chat with when it comes to trapping , alligator hunting ect. His undercover game warden stories are pretty cool.

Would Also suggest getting yourself a lil fletching set up , your going to end up popping off fletchings and it's not hair to replace them yourself, pretty satisfying imo

Got some federal 8's just to shoot and get her familiar with it . Enw sup it had a lil choke already in it.not really a shotgun person so I just kept it in there. And since your supposed to pattern this thing I put a box out and shit it at 10yd AAnd then at 20 Idk I guess it's ok ? Again not a shotgun person. Gonna be getting her some buckshot or something heavy tomorrow. Will say though found a old bucket full of shooting clays in the shed and had a decent bit of fun tossing them up and trying to shoot them before they hit the ground.... Wife moved in with me officially and realized I dit. Really have a home defense gun set up for her for when I'm out . Told her today we where gonna go hunting for her a shotgun. Took out $400 ( she said she'd skin me alive if I tried spending more on her .....and y'all think I'm a cheapskate) Was gonna get a maverick 88 from Walmart since their like $219 and never heard of any real issues ( more then a few deal where people tried to break /burn them down and they just didn't), but as usual no one at the desk no price tags on anything. Been amassing a collection of arrows with broken vanes or fletchings. Really like actual feathers over plastic vanes so picked up a jig at Bass bro and a bag of fletchings. And just clamped it to one of the desks in the reloading room. Fletching weren't exactly the one shape or color I wanted wanted pink barred one with like a shark fin cut) but they look neat enough. Pretty common for folk down here to just set up off the back of their trucks by the road and sell their extra produce. Usually all cash. Anything from fruit and vegetables to fish and shrimp. Can find home made candy sops , and cooked items in the weekends too.Lotta older people do it just to get out the house.This a thing over there ?
