Yes we generally eat bluegill and other pan fish pretty frequently. We like to stick the ponds every few years to help keep the breeding population topped off. Most of these ponds have had good breeding populations for the last 20 or so years but due to the predatory fish,natural die off, turtles and us its is a good way to make sure eveything stay constant. Also alot of these fish end uo being used as live bait ?

Well just dude to how much they range and their diet in an actual swamp ecosystem like the real big ones Louisiana it would talk a massive massive population boom for any effects to be noticeable

Stocked two of our smaller ponds today with some she'll crackers,blue gill and largmaouth bass.

I don't really see how it does. I have gently if black friends get along just fine with everyone it's just MY personal interests arnt the same as most women of my race. Finding a black girl who wants to hunt fish shoot and all the other kinds of stuff I like just is a variety to say the least. So why should I drive my self crazy looking for some one with the same skin tone that might be 1 in 100 when theirs a 50-in 100 of the girl I like in a color. Makes no sense to me. That's really somthin that's more of a state by state ( he'll sontimes county by county ) deal. Like here in MS we have a couple of problem specie but our laws are super laced so its no real big deal. Depening on where your at our main damage animals are feral/wild hogs ,beaver and coyotes. And I'm my county wildhogs do more damage than anything. Actually here's some of what they did the other night by my parents place And that's probably in two or three hogs, I seen entire fields of soybeans and such turned over like that in a night or two by a full sounder of 30 or so hogs.

Well I'm just about eve ystate their native to they are . I think Louisiana is the only state that you can harvest them but that's just dude to the population of them they have. Even thing I think the limit is like two a person a day and only at a certain size

Funny you should mention grabbing lol. That's actually a popular method of catching the bigger ones! Basically you walk around a body if water bare foot and with a long pile and you try to fell for the shell. When you think you find one you tap it a few times to hear the hallow thud. Then you dive under work your hands around the shell and pull em out. Also o hot buddies who duck hun Cyprus swamp. Lol you have no clue how much j hear that lol. Actually you be amazed o big one y'all have in a pond and not even know. I've had to build my traps stronger because I've been doing remove jobs on some tinly little cow ponds you Never think had any thing more than some sliders in it and come back to have three or four snappers in the real weight at least 30lbs a piece....think that's like 15kg if I remember my metrics right. Depends on their size ,when their babys their ory to about everything , especially the sliders . Bass catfish larger turtles ,fish cranes crows and so on. But once they get to the size of these bout the only thing that eats them are Gators if their in the area and hungry and the much larger alligator snapping turtles And just for reference here's a pic of a alligator snapper next to a average size common snapper And a larger adult with a juvenile on its back for scale

Yes in my state they have a habit of over filling ponds and their a real pest to fishermen. Partly because they start biting hooks on the sliders part . The snappers how ever will eat ducks geese and bit cowsnon the udders and we'll warious other places. They can also be hell in a fish population .In my state it's illegal to sell or harvest any turtles. We do have personal limit for common snappers at one a year for personal use but thats about it. So most turtles I catch just get relocated to swamps and creeks

That sucks ! Always thought amazon was multinational as far as selling ? And actually I'm a big fan of ole 260 rips ! Found his channel a year or so ago and really enjoy him. Makes my head spin though imiganing how much his set up cost him. I know in the us that custom 260 of his would be a cool $2500 at the very very minimum. And that's if you bout used and had some favors owed to you lol ! And yeah alot of the big box stores would make alot of y'all loose your minds but most guys avoid them. They tend to mark up prices and such.
