Walk through rat trap box
Wolfdog91 replied to Wolfdog91's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
And here I am thinking I made a break though on a new idea lol. I will say though that box just looks like they tool a poison station and add a place for the trap to go. But hay if it works who can complain -
Yeah those are extremely popular over here either them or the little clinch traps. Yall are really the first buch ive ever heard complaints about them from, then again im not a mole guy. Last time I played with one I was able to set it with my hand and foot, was a little irritating but compared to somthing like a 220 or a 330 meh.

Figured I'd share this little experiment with you guys. So ever since we got rid of the feral barn cats we had we've had an influx of rats ,mice ,squirrels chipmunk and so on. The mice are pretty easy to take care of with a decon block hear and there chipmunks seem pretty co tent with staying out of my way and the squirrels.....well small game season starts in a month or so lol. The rats how ever are a different story. Seems they won't come near the poison what so ever almost never see them in the day except a few times when I'm moving stuff around the yard so can't shoot them ( well at least

Mink man hunting with monitor lizard .
Wolfdog91 replied to Squirrel_Basher's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
He pops in over on trapperman.com from time to time, cool guy -
Yeah that's the problem with the xsite it's a on piece mount so you can't really shim it as far as I can see. You d OK have two Allen bolts on the bottom and I guess if I can loosen them I can slide a washer on the rear on to can't the scope down buuuuut this bolts are in there some kind of tight. This is the scope I'm talking about by the way just to clarify (sorry it's minutes on my AR and not the it gun only picture I had of it just on hand lol

So was hoping someone here might have so advice on this. Basically got a small rat problem starting. Their not messing with the traps too much anymore and don't come out much in the day so figure is doing to have to be a job for NV. Can't use my. 22lr for various reasons so I tried mounting my ATN Xsite II on my Benjamin maximus .22 but I can't get enough downwards adjustment to sight the gun in properly. My maximus comes stock with a 11mm dove tail so I have to use a dove tail to pic rail adapter which raises it up a bit. It was the lowest one I could find though so wanted to see if anyone h

I've actually been meaning to post some pics of my pcp on there and get some advice lol. I'll tell you you guys are something else when it come to air arms.

Shot this guy this morning, some how got caught in the roll feeder, can't say it was a hunt but a dead hot is a dead hog

Seems to be the same in alot if the public places I fish . Just about everyone and their mom wants to catfish around this time of the year so they go to Walmart and get every stink bait and punch bait you can name . Got Everything from catapla worm flavor to beef heart l,iver and cheese and shad blood. Seems after seeing so much of it alot of these public water cats just pain aren't interested. And actually the whole sponge deal is a super common deal here. Most basic form is a piece of sponge on a treble hook that's punched into some paste style bait.

Any you guys happen to have any catfish specific boile recipes your willing to share ? I seems most of the catfishing you guys do is with those halibut pellets so was curious if you use boile's for catfish at all.

Anyone here cast and shoot their own boolits ? Give me a break on the spelling apparently if you cast your own out of lead you supposed to call them boolits instead of bullets , find it kinda odd but hay,all in good fun I reckon lol. Anyhow been getting my little set up together trying to buy used to keep the price down and all.So far got a bottom pour lead pot a .312 dia mold for my 7.62x39 and 7.62x54r and two .225 molds for my .223 and 5.56. Going to try and see how powder coating works. Still waiting for some more sizing dies and a few other odds and ends to pop up on the used pages

Forgot to post this, somone had asked how much bend one of the blanks I have has . Well this is a moderate fast action medium weight 7'6" CRB blank . Yes i know its pink lol,was going to be for my girlfriend but wasnt super happy with the finsihed product. Works just fine just didn't do the finish just right. Anyhow here it is with a 3 oz weight tied to the tip.

You would think that but for some reason most of the lower prices blanks under $50 are all one piece. You would think the companies would only add a few bucks to the price for cutting a black and adding a Ferrell insert but no ,right on up to $100

That's mainly the douce bags who do that to be honest. It's actually pretty frowned on by alot of folks. Don't get me wrong most vets to were somthing tactical looking but unless your a old combat vet seal ranger or actually seen some action no one worth anything really wears all that crap because most of use don't kind the aqward " thank you for your service ". Mainly because alot of us dont like being thanked for not having done more that going through training and just doing our jobs.again it's mainly kids right out of AIT or somthing who think their better than eveyone else. Same with wear -
Nice ! I actually say a complete pod with all the bells and whistles for $20 but it was made by some schetchy Chinese company so egh decided against it
-
Friggen beautiful! Love the pod and the rods

Yeah I was considering that but when temps get in the 90's the red clay alot of these ponds and lakes have on the banks turn to concrete. And it's pretty stable. Going to be rock solid when I remember to get some PVC cement and lock most of it in place

Yeah that's the Homochitto sresch across the entire state if I remember correctly we all pronounce it Homa-chitta southern accent and all that also who wants to say Homo-chit-o ? but yeah supposed to be some monsters in there but so far with 10 or so trips down there the only thing I've got is stuck up to my truck frame in sand and a headache. Dang current skipped 10oz of flat lead weights across the bottom like a plastic bag in the wind. But yeah I'm like you and have to experiment. It drives folks crazy I noticed because I always sue something very different than the norm. Like I wa

I'd watch what you say lol the thoughts of the races mixing in such a way may make more than a hand full of folks on here rather upset ??? Next thing you know where hearing a a regurgitation of a bunch of studies and how you shouldn't breed this dog with that dog and yadda yadda 1920's German eugenics ? -

I don't know man according to most of my friends who spent time in the uk and other Brits I've talked to.....eeeegh seems at least for the older generation this is a pretty decent representation lol. My buddy who spent a few weeks in the UK ( he's a blue eyed blonde hair white guy by the way ) peut it to me like this when I was talking about this forum. " The Brits generally complain about everything, fairly snobish dry humor generally and like women built like a sticks for some reason . They get alot better when you can get a drink or two in them though or manage to get them talking -
It's The same way with ,well most type if fishing over here, eveyone just does what they see eveyone elese doing without thinking it through. If you go on any of the bass, catfish, crappie, muskie and so on face book groups you always see the same two or three questions almost every day What's the best Bait for ( insert fish) What's the best Rod for ( inset fish) What's the best Line for (insert fish) And of course all the experts say some name brand or the exact opposite and say all you got to do is. Then when you go in and say well it really depends on your water way,the f

Well I am from the us lol but I fish differently depending on the water way and fish I'm targeting, and really my mood that day lol. About all the carp fishing I do is in ponds and smaller lakes. Honestly I find the way you guys in the UK fish very interesting for the most part. Fishing in the US can get kinda boring at, least for me. Probably dosent help I get bored if things in general pretty quick regardless lol. It's always ugly stick GTX with a Carolina rig 7/0 hook bluegill head for for bait ,pound a piece of PVC pipe in the bank for a rod holder and sit there and wait for a c
