AR-15's and similar require you do a full length sizing. Unless you have one if the bolt action uppers your going to have to full length size . I generally full length resize all my brass though. Not to mention 70%if my brass are range pickups.( Probably have close to 2000 piece if various .223/5.56 brass j picked up for free at the local range. One man's trash and all that.)I want to be able to measure my shoulder bump to make sure I'm working my brass down only as much as I need (like 3 thousands mabye 5 but that's it). Found out that just using my dues the way the instructions say had me p

So finally got the little mutant back up and runnnig ! Got to the point with a little bit of grease a slave pin, two punches and a small ballpeen hammer I can have this thing taken apart and put back together in about 10min. Anyhow ended up snapping another firing pin anvil and ened up using on made for a shotgun of a tip from a fella on another forum, works great ! Also ended up the hammer can't problem I was having was due to my firing pin having a chip in it. Some work with the Dremel fixed that. Also had to take some 1000 grit sand paper and a sharping stone and polish all the pivot and sea

Well got my sorting and BHN testing video done gonna be around the 25th before I can do any actual realoding. Found out both of my calipers are lacking and need to order a new par to properly measure my shoulder bump. Also had to order a universal recapping die so I can make a split case and measure my rifles CBTO. If it's not on thing it's another ?

Looks like fun ! One of my favorite YouTubera does alot of black powder shooting. Guy is hungarian and has an amazing channel if your into black powder. https://youtu.be/sCGg6NMCYMU But yeah a muzzle loader is on the bucket list but haven't quite found what I want exactly. Have been looking at kits for a bit but no one seems to makes a .32cal kit that's doesn't cost less than $600 would buy a complete rifle but why do that when you can do a kit and ad some personal touches lol

Well sat down and weighted out 177 of the powder coated ones on my RCBS chargemaster light. Figured I'd sort them in .5grain lots before gas checking. Ended up with this Seems like I'm dropping between 1.0gr-1.5gr on average which I guess for what I'm doing isn't the worst thing in the world . It might just be how I'm powder coating but after sorting 177 powder coated ones I wasn't feeling like doing another 150-200 regular ones lol ? Also did a bhn test because I was curious. With my Lee BHN tester my none power coatd bullet wa around 15BHN (this was poured then dropped in a pail of

Depends on the animal state time if year and so on. Cats are almost always sold for fur year round. The glands ,skulls, claws and teeth are with a good bit too if you know how to market. Depending on the year and market a decent bellied cat ( when I say that I'm referring to how white the belly fur and spots are ) can average $50-$250 if put up right but on high years good ones can average $500-$2000 on top lots. Not hard to sell a cleaned skull for $10-$20 on ebay or something . Even seen a few people who carve paint and decorate them and re sell them for a good profit. Lots for peopl

Wonder what the international postal laws be on mailing a spent case over there ?got a couple along with shot bullets with nice rifling marks laying around the house

Depending on state they will go after stuff as large as goats. Generally if they go after live stick though is going to be stuff like chickens , they are hell on wild turkey ,quail ,pheasants and rabbits. But in places like caliafornia where they've gotten so used to people they will attack digs cats and people as well .Lots of control trappers get paid good money to get them off the big game ranches in Texas and such. Where theirs good food and cover they can become kinda prolific. Think this guy ( clint locklear if anyone is curious) said he's been averaging 150 or so off of two ranches for

Makes sense I was wondering because the fur color and size looked pretty similar to ours
-
What state are y'all in ? That belly fur has me curious.

I actually have a Lee BHN tester and I need to check a few to get a average buts if this is some what accurate I should hopefully be around 20. With a power coat and a gas check it should be good

Looks like somone took a kuro and welded a bunch of extra stuff to it ?

Mine is a 1:7 supposed to prefer the 60-107 grain stuff more but it shoots most 55grain stuff I feed it at 1-1.5moa so hoping it will shoot this around the same. But again due to me make this with a harder BHN and with the powder coat I should have able to push this much faster than standard cast lead. Elvisammo on youtube has been able to get around 2500fos with powder coated bullets and his alloy is like 14 I think mine should be around 17 plus I'm gas checking mine . So hoping for 2300 fps -2600. He had good luck with 2015 and another winchester powder that escapes me but I have a pound of

I do. Love mine though I had to take factory coating off with a angle grinder and wire wheel and reseason it my self
-
Yeah that's the problem with cast in a AR and semi autos in general. Traditional cast at least. With the powder coat ,a metal gas check and a harder BHN lead (most traditional his only use like a 10-12 15 tops but I'm staring out at 15 and with the water quenching hopefully I can end up around 18-21) I should be able to push them at higher speeds and pressures to get a good cycle.

Really? , Interesting, learn something new everyday. O and I figured I share this guy with you . He does alot of reloading videos and has 70 or so just on .300blk. he listing for a AR but figured there could still be something in his videos that could help you out.
-
Going to try to shoot them out of my 5.56 AR-15. Hoping they groups a most 2" @100yd would be good plinking ammo but if I can get sub MOA @100 I'll be over the moon lol. As far as my oven is just a cheap little toaster oven. Think I paid like $30 for it. I actually just finished editing the casting and powder coating videos and I'll try to up load them later today, or tomorrow for you ? I'm not sure it's 2:18 a.m. over here ,o the joys of being a YouTuber ??
-
I thought the same thing ? I might have arthritis but I can drop a load just fine ?
-
KimE are you planning on buying factory .300blk brass or are you going to try forming your own from.223 ?
-
Well got my first batch of powder coated bullets done. Think the traffic cone puple color is gonna cause a few laughs at the range but hay all good fun ?
-
Is about like that here in most states, alot of guys up north can't believe I can still get lead wheel weights. Benefits of living in the butt crack of the south I guess ?? That being said their are some people casting zinc bullets now too.
-
Clip on wheel weights apparently have a general alloy of Lead 95% Antimony 2.5% Tin .5% Arsenic .1%
