Actually yes I've had rattl snake a few times ,always had a fishy taste to me but it's kinda on if those things what you do on a non regular basis lol. Intresting story BTW

Yep so much for snakes being shut up for January ? was out in the lower cow pasture below my house song some load testing . Now there's a small creek/ditch that runs though the whole field. Usually full of frogs ,small minnows ect. Parked a few yards away from the back to get in the shade to set up my table and shoot. Well 5 of my dogs where out running around with me but by the timei started shooting all except one usually run back to the house. My chawinnie ( the little demon spawn you get when you mix a weiner dog and chihuahua) usually sits under the truck till I'm done. Well I stop to ta

So got to shoot some today. Only got to shoot my sighter rounds before I had to stop due to battery problems with my target camera and chronograph ? but was able to get ten rounds total. The first five being the best and the send group being worst because I was rushing trying to get the shot off before my chronograph and target cam died. Here's my little set up. Plastic folding table , rear bag, bipod got a stap across the table as a bipod stop. So basically 1" @50yd ( only doing 50 right now to try and weed out what shoots the best quickest.) Pulled the 5th shot so not counting it.

50 Rounds loaded up for testing tomorrow

Went ahead and pulled them out gave them a rinse and they look pretty good to me lol Tossed them in the dehydrator and they should be ready to load in the morning

Got a divit in my forehead from a BB bouncing back off of a full water bottle and clocking me ?

So little update got about 50 pieces of lake city 5.56 rang brass prepped for the most part. Full length resized with a shoulder bump or around 0.005"was gonna just bump the bare minimum of 0.003 which is kind of the rule for semi autos but after messing around my chamber seems to prefer the slightly deeper shoulder bump. It would chamber a lighter bump but tool a little more effort and since this gun rides around in the back seat of the truck or on the four wheeler it gets dusty and dirty alot so figured a little more "wiggle room" in the chamber to help with dust and what not couldn't hurt.

Lol part of that was my mold was over casting alot lol. Aloft of my bullets driving bands where around .227- .228 so was kinda a pain to push though. Also had just de greased the whole die and that just made it worse ? once I got a few dozen ran through it everything with through pretty smooth. Not to mention I don't think I baked these good enough as i had a few chip ? only 10 out of all of them but think dthat many be a problem. And glad to hear your enjoying them. Just got my new calipers in today and I'll m trying to decide if I should do a case prep video or not ? On a side note it's

Actually no.if done right the power coat acts as the lube persay. One if the big reasons alot of new casters are going to it opposed to traditional

Got the sizing video up.

Beautiful! I never knew they even made black powder over unders !

So it's 4:08a.m here and I just realized I've been messing with these since about 11:00pm ? the joys of filming i guess lol. Anyhow got my two main weights all sized down to .225" and gas checked Used the NOE Bushing sizer if anyone was curious and just stuck a dryex out water bottle over it to catch the bullets Just a little comparison here from left two right we have out cast Lee 55gr bullet filled by a serria 50 grain Varminter ,then a 53 grain Hornady vmax and last a Hornady 75grain hpbt (one of my favorite bullets currently) And I just called everything off and labbeld the

Nice set up you have there ! All Lee brand ? What are you living your bullets with and any velocity readings ? Also how are you getting your PSI readings ?
-
Well since I only need a bump of 0.002"-0.003 for it to work I'd say yes. Just messing around with my calipers, as much as a they fluctuate on these lower numbers it seems following the instructions in my dies I've been pushing back my shoulder close to 15 thousands. And I can still get the measurement I want with my seating dies seating the way they do. I just keep adjusting my die till it gives me the correct measurement same as with COAL

Bought some plexiglass for about $3,then got two 8 inch wide 3 foot long rips from the trash at work for free ? Anyhow turned out pretty good
-
Thank you! Is that a double sheet trammel net ? Looks like its very well constructed but only counting yes sets of netting. Night just being the way I'm looking. That a sea net or for great water ?
-
Thanks I made this little video a while back when I was first trying but haven't had much time to mess with it much more Managed some turtles but after talking to one of the guys at the commercial fishing supplier I visited he reccomed I do some different things because the fish where most likely just swing the net and turing around due to the. Fact their in a pond and don't really have to go anywhere
-
Mak s sense, I just picked up a bunch of supplies and figured id go about learning how to build and fish nets in some of the local ponds. Alot if then are choked with stunted bluegill, bass and what not a nd need to be cleaned out. Bought some commercial made nets but they where lacking so figured I'd just make my own and mabye ask around since theirs not that much info online.
-
But once I get the accuracy and power down I'll probably be trying there's on hogs and mabye some fox and coyote if I can ever get my preator calling set up and running. But I do have a few more calibers to cast for as well. The Hornet will probably be a starling and grackle slayer. NOE has a 38gran HP mold I really like the looks of and have here it preforms wonderfully in the hornet on game
-
I'd like to but no matches or anything local lol. Closest I'd get is mabye me and another guy at the range seeing who can shoot what better. I am just trying it out but I tend to go overboard when I try something ? Especially if I'm doing videos, really wanna squeeze as much performance and accuracy as I can and see just how good I can get them to work
-
? hmm think I'll try some perspex, pretty sure that's plexiglass over here. I'll have to price some when I go in for work. No clue why I never thought of of it before ? Thanks!
-
Interesting. Thought netting for commercial fishing was a thing over there . Guess I was mistaken ?
-
Any of you guys happen to gill net or rig your own nets ?
-
What do you guys use to make your mesh gauges ? Usually just use my fingers but need more to be more precise with certain styles of nets. Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this by the way wasn't 100% sure if I should asked this here ,fishing or trapping ?

You have a point ! It does have a certain charm to it ?
