Just a little heads up to the carp boys, a friend of mine has just invested a small fortune in some of the best and fastest growing carp in the country, he is not a farmer with a muddy puddle, but a carp angler trying to create a fantastic venue for others, so if your in the staffs area and fancy some great fishing give him a shout, just type the name above into Google and it will take you to his Facebook page, he has photos of every fish he's stocked plus there are a few unknowns in there, it's not been fished before and even the new stuff has been left unmolested since last year while being

im working on a job at the moment ,and there is loads of off cuts of top quality ply so tomorrow I will collect as many up as I can and next week the wooden starship will be born, how do you find yours to shoot, is it much more powerful than a normal catty and what's the accuracy like,I have made two and the one in the photos was brilliant but I can't get to grips with the second one, strange as the only difference is the forks, and it does not seem as powerful as the first and shoots about 2 foot lower using the same aim points, but I think I have gathered all the info I need from the first

I had to clear out a carpentry workshop recently, and there was a simular saw to that one in there, the main problem I had selling it was the fact it was 240v and you are not allowed to use it anywhere, I flogged it for fifty quid in the end,it went to someone else's garage, for home use

. am afraid I,m a work in progress with regard to the Internet mate, I broke my ankle in January so had time to learn how to use an I pad, I can now sign in talk to you and add a photo, but a video might have to wait awhile, there are lots on YouTube which is were I first saw them, if you are thinking of doing one I would say don't hesitate, it seems to me they are the next level in catty shooting, the crutch version is an easy starting point because most of the stuff you need is in the crutch it's just a cases chopping it about a bit, but my next one is going to be an all wood version, m

Cheers for that I have not been sealing them with anything, just cut them leave them in my garage for a year then off I go, it does seem to be the heat of taking them indoors that accelerates the cracking, I have made a few clock faces, that were absolutely fine until they came indoors, then they just split almost overnight, I guess I just need to be a bit more patient when seasoning them, cheers for the advice anything else just fire away

I have been making a few house name plaques from discs cut from logs or biscuits, my main issue is how long should the wood be dried out and is there anything I can do to stop them splitting as some of them look lovely for 6 months or a year but then start to crack, the discs are normally around a foot or two across with a thickness of about two inch, any tips or advice on treating the wood much appreciated thanks

Fitted my led lensor p7 gun light to the beast last night and took it for a little mooch, have to say for a first venture into starship cattys it's pretty awesome the power from this design is absolutely rapid, only disadvantage it's not as discrete as a normal catty and at a glance looks a bit like a gun which might get a bit of unwanted attention, i think my next one will be made of wood but it's definitely a design worth a bit more of a look into

that is a lovely bit of work by your old man, wish I had one like it, ( dad not catty )I recon you could fit some flats on that without much problem, I know it's a trust issue and I won't be offended if you say piss off, but I would be happy to have a tinker with it in my man cave and get it fitted out with a nice pouch and some tbg bands for you, alternatively if your happy to do the work yourself I will sendyou the stuff to do it yourself, IE bands pouch and some ties A.T.B Paul Great offer that is mate well done cheers mate, it's one of the few pleasures of getting old, you realise you ca

Public Liability Insurance For Dog After Court Case
Greyman replied to pongopalmer's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
. If it's just to get the dog back, why not just forget to mention the previous biting incident, get the policy then get the dog back and tell the insurance after, they will then just cancel the policy or amend it, -
easy, early Toyota like the one they tried to kill on top gear

. I think I would want more than a catty for £100 I,ve bought a few decent air rifles for that sort of money, plus the main benefit of carrying a catty is you can throw it in the hedge if your caught out, and if it's still there when you go back bonus, but if it's gone all you have lost is a stick and some elastic, but each to there own I guess

that is a lovely grain pattern, I can see why you like it, the work is quality to FairPlay, what finish do you use and what are the cuts of your bands?

. I don't think there is any hatred, towards Martin or anyone else here, it's just nice to get other people's idea,s and experiences before parting with your hard earned wedge, that's what the forum is for surely, I doubt I will ever be buying anyone's gear really unless it's in a trade as I like making my own to much, there is something really special about natty,s, I may make 5-6 before I find the one that fits like a glove and hits everything I point at, and you just can't buy that feeling

she still has everything going for her this is totally human error and know fault of the dog, why get rid of a dog because of your mistake?

i have one right outside my French doors I don't even have to leave my chair to watch them coming and going, only downside the sparrow hawk is now making almost dailly raids in the garden, it took a nesting hedge sparrow last year about six inch,s above the brother in laws head and sadly the nest and eggs failed

What a f***ing contradiction... exactly mate some people in city,s now even feed dogs on a veggie diet, but they would still get an on the spot fine from some little jumped up park warden if it shat in the streets, horses are just dog food waiting to happen, don't get me started on horses

i have,nt long netted for around 30 years, but when I did all our poles were just cut from hazel, one tree will provide years worth also used the off cuts for snare pegs, I guess things move on

. My son has just returned from a nights fishing in Gloucestershire, and he saw lots of house and sand martins, also spoke to the local twitcher that told him there have been swallows there since March, he stops by every time we fish up there and is a mine of birdy info so I would have know reason to doubt him

. There are several people, in this country that have just taken ideals from bill Hayes, and put there own little spin on them, one or two have even gone on to make quite a name for themselves, I won't name names or point fingers, I did,nt think you could improve on your ppsg, but if you want something a little bit special, I would be looking at bills site as not only is he an unbelievable catty shot but he is also responsible for most of the better designs on the market today, and he's a very honest and helpful person to do business with, I,m a staunch homemade catty fan but if I were to ever
