  1. I agree mate ....... I can't order a silencer to be delivered to me but, I can order a 200lb crossbow with as many bolts and broadheads as I want I thought crossbows were quiet enough without a silencer

No need to apologise to me mate as I've stated I will be fair and say the truth regarding what I see ... the people off here that have met me know I will say it as it is ...... I'm looking forward to your opinion .If it's great footage you don't need to be a expert sadly it's not the greatest footage it's at night when the camera is in black and white but it's clear enough to know what your looking at, truth be told there are no real experts in this subject just a few enthusiastic amateurs as its a mythical creature that some believe and many don't, I have had the pics looked at by a few peop
  5. I have heard it's very simular to shooting a catapult so if you have,nt got time to practice maybe get a catty or slingshot as you call them and you can have a go when you get the odd ten minutes

This might be just a coincidence but there is a private big cats breeding facility at Wheathampstead where this deer was found. I mentioned it a few pages ago . I think that cats in captivity will attract ones in at certain times of the year I mentioned many pages ago that a few zoos have found footprints in the flower beds outside of the cages also the ostrich that was killed inside its enclosure that I know of after something cleared the two electric fences around it I guess the noises and smells may ring a dinner bell or the smell of a on heat female or they may of just lost one and don't

Makes sense, but what a fascinating hill to climb, eh? As long as it's an enjoyable journey you'd get to see a lot of other stuff on the way.one reason the carcasses make a good case is because cats have very distinct cutting teeth at the back called carnasal teeth ( spelling?) and were they cut the ribs along the spine it leaves a distinct W shaped cut mark and a lot of people are now taking more notice of this and the pit marks they leave on bones as its very easily identifiable, lastly you are right about it being an enjoyable journey as I love all things countryside from little birds upwar
  8. Some of them compound bows are so accurate they should be legal, I would love to give it a whirl, love the vids with the light up knock on the arrow looks like a tracer round when you fire it

not me personally but I do know of a few found by others, a lot of the terrain I,ve been looking over is quite steep and it's hard looking upwards without going ass over tit but it's something I would like to find as its another hard to deny part of the picture, like I said before, a photo no matter how good is always picked apart so if you have all of the other parts of the jigsaw it helps form a full indisputable case, Just out of interest greyman is it the Stroud area you mooch ? Pm me if prefer know mate I have had a few looks around up near nailsworth as I was up there working for abo

looks like all the best bits are gone, that cat could get job in tescos thing is it is excactly the same as the roe in the photo I put up, the mo is always the same which is why it's one of the best clues for cats in an area, this is a picture from the book, this deer was shot at 10 o'clock in the evening and when the guy went to retrieve it at 4am this was all that was left, the marks on the neck are were the guy started to remove the head before he thought a photo was needed

it don't seem much different here mate, most of the reports I get and the animal kills I find are all just outside the city, but I guess in England it's not that easy to be away from civilisation, I think most of the early Bodmin beasts and the like were probably released animals which is why they were far outside of towns and killing loads of sheep but as they have become more naturalised they seem to have moved closer in to the outskirts of city's and prey on more natural stuff like deer who's numbers have also exploded over the last 30 years

Another cat kill report in St. Albans it's on the Mail on line site if anyone wants to have a look or put a link up, also I,d like to apologise to socks, seems his integrity is now beig brought under scrutiny for agreeing to veiw the footage,
  15. It's a bit of a shame really, that we don't make a bit more of it, the paddys get drunk for a fortnight on st Patrick's day most Brits could nt tell you the date of st George's day, have a good one what ever your doing
  16. saw them on the telly the other day, bigger than a golden eagle and making a comeback, thing is with birds they don't always stay were they are put and travelling in a straight line covers a lot of miles quickly, we had a bearded vulture near me for about a fortnight last year, and the genaneral view was he had come from a project in Europe, you might also get some clues by looking on bird watching sites they can't wait to shout everytime they find something out of the ordinary, but I would advise you not to put the location on any of them if you don't want hundreds of them in your field

Exactly, if it's a black cat then it's either a Leopard or a Jaguar. Both can roar so you tell me.......It's not black. He stated that earlier in the thread mate.Stop being racist. I haven't taken much notice of his posts tbh, so he thinks it's a Puma? really so your not taking much notice of my posts but your still here trying to discredit me 18 pages in I,d hate to see what you would be like if you did take much notice No I'm not tbh because you're not showing any evidence whatsoever that can convince me. so when you said at the start that's the most convincing picture you have ever seen,

one of the clues that drew me to this area were several cottages in the woods reported what they said sounded like a woman screaming behind there house back in the woods, so I have to assume that is what was heard though some cats don't scream, it's little things like that that I have been adding up ,it was a tiny column in a local rag two years ago that most people look at then forget, but I log them down and over the years they have helped build a bigger and better picture, another house in the woods found a large paw print in the snow a few years ago outside there house, they have two malim

How many birds do you see on a daily basis yet imo you hardly see a dead bird lying aroundExactlyThe reason you don't see dead birds laying around is because predators eat them ... now I should imagine a secretive creature such as a big cat is going to find the quietest most secluded area when it's that I'll it's going to die so not much chance of seeing a body ... added to the fact the hundreds of thousands of foxes and badgers and rats that will be queuing up to strip it bare it's no surprise we don't find corpses .........I hope your going to be truly honest when you see this photo....Woul

yes mate I,m looking toward the autumn time now before I go at it again so I,ve been looking at some electric type distress callers that flap a dummy round and the liquid scent gland attractors
  22. We have those sirens in avonmouth near me as the place is a toxic shit pit, but the tests are done at the same time every month IE at 3pm on the 3rd of every month, people unfamiliar with it normally go into a bit of a panic when they first here it, so if I were you I would take note of the time and date otherwise you could be like one of those Chinese dudes that come out the jungle with there hands up forty years after the wars over

I had that book from a book club 25 years ago, it does make you think. Especially as photoshopping had not been invented then. Do you remember the photo of a cat on a hill side by a dead tree, and when the measured the height of the branch it was as tall as it was over 3ft. That is one photo that has stayed in my mind. TC Yes I remember it well. There was another picture of a tabby looking thing leaning on its back legs against an old cupboard and they recreated the picture with a domestic cat and it was not even half the size. That is the picture that I really can't explain it is not o
  24. I think by the time you work out the answer to your question, the rabbit or pigeon would of fecked off, I really like the starship catty,s but you can't hide them and if you sling them in the hedge the person your trying to hide it from just picks it up so really for me a catty is a small discreet fork and elastic set up that I can just throw in the hedge rather than try and work out the legal arguments with the local Bobby and not some of these laser sighted multi elasticated rifle type things the Chinese seem to be into, just get a rifle and a catty covered all angles

I,ve stumbled on a few of them in my time even had the invite to join in one night when I was out lamping with my boy and another time I flicked my lamp on in a carpark in the woods and caught an old fat fecker in a mack tugging one off over the bonnet of a car when a young couple were at it inside, it kicked right off but I was on the floor laughing to much to do anything as the fat bloke ran off with his cacs round his anckle s and the young bloke chased him down the hill trying to pull his on
