Just going out to set up 10 ready for the winter, that's 8o new battery,s 10 new sd cards plus the ten cameras, gets a bit addictive -
My old mate that goes canoeing around the world was charged by a mamma bear with a cub a few years back in Canada, he had one of those big cans of bear spray and advice not to run but stand your ground and make yourself large, he saw the cub first and thought shit mum would,nt be far away, but when she came out the tree line standing on her back legs running at him he took one look at the aerosol can in his hand and threw it over his shoulder as he sprinted down the beach shouting to get the canoe going he just about got away needing just new pants but unharmed, ?

Mate you will always get lots of advice on were your going wrong, from folk that like to follow rules and regs, I have an old Gas bottle with a door cut in it and a flue I made from five combi flues stuck together with jubilee clips in my wooden shed, I was informed it would burn the shed down, the rivets I attached the door hinges would melt and a plague of locust would turn my veg patch to dust, well I sit in my shed with the burner going most nights and still no problems, have built a small surround from an Ali road sign I cut up, the flue goes straight out the back and the wood around it g

Can you get a photo up saves a 1000 words, I get your drift but seeing it may help with a solution, it's not something as simple as swapping the clips to the other fork when you go from ott to ttf is it ??

I think again an age and generation gap thing is showing its head here, when I was young and bang at it the only people that had 4x4 transport were the keepers and land owners the rest of us were running round in old transits and escourt which you parked in a safe location like a pub or service station and walked several miles to the ground before having a pop, in and out under the cover of dark and leave no signs so you could return, farmers and keepers would scan lay byes for dodgy vans and slash the tyres if they found them, it was a game and we all new the rules, today's so called hunters

Sorry not food but weather related, after seeing my first flock of redwings at the end of last week I was expecting some cold weather and low and behold have just read that Scotland and northern England will be getting some snow by Friday while the rest of us are expecting an arctic blast lasting for three weeks, so enjoy them Barbies before its time to pack them away and get the curry pot out ?

Easier and legal to just go out with a lamp and shoot them I would imaging if they were attracting that much unwanted attention, maybe we would have a better understanding of it if we were still out coursing, sure it would of flagged up sooner if we were ?

Most of them originated elsewhere mate think a few thousand went in the Thames from brassenose in Oxford during the 2007 floods alone, though it was denied at the time, I had a mate that was fishing it and watched shoals of them going over, then they restocked it about a month later, another interesting thing they seem to always head down stream toward the tidal stretch,s, there is another known fish in the Thames that has worked its way down through around 60 locks, I also see them in the Bristol Avon were the tidal meets the fresh all the time same on the Severn ??

Beautiful clear and sunny in Bristol with foggy mornings cracking, been out with the dogs for the morning and saw a lot of redwings stocking up on the hawthorn berry,s so don't think the cold is to far away, 19 outside here at the moment been out in a Tshirt ?

Fracking is another nail in the coffin of the human race and a clear example of how greed and profit will always win over right and wrong, best of all the paying public have not received a single penny off utility bills from wind or sun power and as long as there are share holders skimming everything off the top won't get anything off there gas bills through fracking but will be left to pick up the mess for years

There is a company that sells some nice custom made stocks on eBay if you don't fancy doing it yourself, they are a straight swap and come in different finish,s and styles depending on your budget

Have a little Google there quite interesting and unique and though a member of the canid family have a very different life than most other dogs, someone on here caught one in a trap and put some pics up a while back,
