For some reason the dam buster thing seems to pop up at intervals throughout my life, when I left school I worked in a very large strange place on the outskirts of Bristol near temple cloud, turned out it was an underground bomb factory from the war, it looked like a lake from the sky but was a hollowed out hill with a blue roof so it never got bombed, the guy that invented the bouncing bomb lived in a house across the road and I was told this was were all the magic happened, then in the 80,s when I was incarcerated on the island of Portland I watched military helicopters lifting massive woode

I never thought of mine as an antique, not a challenger but a standard Mercury with my own touch,s do have an AA pcp but still use the Mercury more as it feels more alive and is a lovely sized gun, I thought the airsporter was just an under leaver version of a Mercury hence all the similarity,s ? -
There are less this year I follow the swifts quite closely as they nest in my roof and reports all along there migration route say that less than normal have arrived this year swollows and martins seem the same, hope it's just a natural low I feel quite sorry for the odd swift that's made it, I normally have dozens whizzing round the house two or three so far this year ?

I could mate but it's only to take the chill off the smoking shack and it's nice it goes straight out as soon as the door is closed, I dare say as burning season gets going it will have a few more mods but as it is it's pretty good for what I need at the mo ?

You don't want to admit that online once your over a certain age, they will have you on a register ?

A packet of mint imperials sat in the back of the cinema shooting at the characters on screen was one of our fun things to do as youngsters, your boys sound like proper kids mate, just get them some weaker elastic so no one looses an eye and let them crack on, much better than a PlayStation ??

Little update on project woodburner, have chopped up a large road sign and made a hearth stuck half a dozen boiler flues together and fired the beast up been burning for a few days, rivets seem to be doing ok although I did replace a few in less accessible places but looked at a few cheap commercial models that use rivets for door hinges etc, there is no adjustable air draft, if the door is open it burns a treat if the door is shut it goes straight out so for the princely sum of a fiver I won't have to freeze my nads off in the smoking shed every winter

That does look just like it plus the foliage around is not dissimilar, looks like me and the dogs had a lucky miss with that one, cheers ?

I,guess like most creatures he will be a thing of habit so when I return I will tie the dogs up before I reach the spot and try to sneak up unnoticed and get a picture, I have a video somewhere on a hi8 tape of one I caught years ago (grass snake) but he,s stood right up spitting like a proper snake have also had some foul smelling shit sprayed on me by a grass snake it was a milky substance that no amount of washing seemed to shift and I stunk for days after, I,m still leaning toward adder as most grass snakes I find are close to or on water were as this thing was in a more heathland envirom

I just did mate and now you,ve confused me even more
-
This is the thing I look for before I grab a snake it's the yellow thing on the back of its head, that's a real grass snake I,ve caught quite a few,
-
Over the years I,ve encountered quite a few grass snakes and adders but yesterday when I was out I saw quite a big brown snake with diamonds down its back, it was sunbathing on a grassie hump on some waste land, I tried to grab it but it went under the grass and traveled faster than I could clear the grass plus I had my three dogs with me which I was trying to keep seperate as I never wanted them to eat the snake or it to bite them if it was poison, during the brief encounter I could not tell if it was an adder or a grass snake so when I got home I typed both into google images and the same pi

I think you,ll find that the phone package you have is only allowed to block calls from the uk, foreign call centres can't be covered by uk law and that's why you still get calls from a bloke called Dave that can't even say your name, I don't think there,s a need to line your cupboard in foil and hide under the stairs mate just check the small print within your package ?

3 best forks for the begginers are, scout as shown, proshot bloodshot, and the wasp uni fox, simple reason they are all multi grip and multi band friendly meaning you can hold them in most popular grips, left or right handed and use various bands or tubes on them, once you know what style of shooting and what bands you prefer you can get something a bit more specific or make your own let us know what you get

There was an old fella some years back doing some chainsaw work in his garden the wife was footing the steps for him, but as he fell off he took the head off her on the way down, I do own chainsaws but only cut up fallen trees for the fire, never off the ground, they don't give you the opportunity to learn from your mistakes
-
Cut it all as close to the floor as you can and next week just pull all the brown stuff off, I,ve realised I don't bounce as well as I used to so tend to take a few less risks, showed it before but this was a fall from a tree mate, cost me a week in hospital and another week off work, much cheaper to buy some decent steps or rent an ally tower ??

I get the paste in a little Indian shop, it comes from Kingston and has a real good kick, agree a 100 percent about the powdered stuff usually use it to flavour sauce rather that marinating, just done a quick pizza as all this cookings making me hungry and the pork will need 3/4 hours in the smoker at least, enjoying the sunshine at last ??
-
Just boned and jerked half a pork belly will put it in the smoker later on or early tomorrow , stuffed with spring onions and proper jerk paste , the daughters are away on hockey tour and the boys away fishing so a full banquet for when they all return hungry and hungover, the old sauce pan contains applewood chips that are soaking in water for a really slow smoke

I think Nigel mansel had one years ago also very popular in the states, just another way of relieving the rich of there wealth as they can't be arsed to build a canine relationship almost every dog I,ve ever owned would attack if someone made a sudden move toward me and I,ve never owned or required a guard dog, it's just a strong loyalty, were as these things are imprinted with a secret attack word

Bet he wish,s he,d one the award for head movement, he might have ducked ?
