The last Russel I had Digga was a J. Smith bred bitch a good strong leggy type about 14" smooth coated and solid, an excellent nose and a good worker, a proper Russel, I wish I could get one like her again.
I'm going to be in the west of Ireland over the summer, does anyone know or follow any mink hounds from Galway upto Donegal would like a few days out, pm me only, cheers.
You dont need a passport if its from the north you need a passport if its from the south, I "know someone who knew someone" who brought a pup from the south not knowing it had a south microchip in it and had to say he got the pup off someone who bought it in the south and resold it in the north, complicated I know, but there are some c**ts at the port so have every angle covered. If its got no chip and its jabbed in the north with a vet card your fine you might aswell get it chipped in the north for a few quid save any hassle. If its passport and paperwork are fine courier it for about £50 a d
I cant tell you pal otherwise everyone will be there, its a magical place, you can get working border terriers there (ones that stay to ground) also they have working bedlingtons and if you look hard enough you will find Breays original stock, fact!!! But dont tell anyone its between me and you.
Nice looking Lakies KD, you seem to have a few workers, its rare to see a kennel of working lakies nowadays people tend to have the odd one about them, unless they are going in the ring.
Its two different worlds, I was asked to do some work for a mounted pack once and after spending some time out with them there was no way, I kept working my handful of terriers the way I wanted, no pressure no rush no hassle.
I am sure you do, Ive been out with a few hunts and had a few digs, and it was all go go go and the dog or the terrierman couldnt put a foot wrong, hats off to them. Ive seen a few bellends too mind you.
It seems theres a few lads on here who comment on dogs theyve never seen, and make out they know people theyve never met, it must be a THL ladder thing, roll on next season.
I only ask because of the coat P, you know yourself what a lakelands coat usually looks like, Ive seen a few lakeland crosses (patts, russels etc) which have come smooth coat like yours, hes a nice tidy dog, ( cant go wrong with the old dunlops).
It was RH they moved it a few years later but it was never the same, I had some good digs around Llangollen one of my favourite places to dig and some great scenery.
