Exactly RH I'm as proud as punch when it all works out, I used to get pissed off when it didn't but nowadays if they don't work (which is rare) there's nothing much I can do about it. I've two ready to go this season one is mad keen the other is just mad.

I think it's the highlight of any terriermans season bringing on a young dog you have bred or have had from a very young age. Even more so when you have parents grandparents etc, it's squeaky bum time for the lads who are praying theirs don't walk, saying that I think it's in the back of most of our minds haha. ?

That sounds like an honest comment from a decent fella Yankee, too rare these days when all you hear is this dog done this and this dog done that and stayed for so long bla bla bla, there's nothing wrong with saying this dog failed or that dog did this wrong because anyone with any experience can smell the bullshit a mile away and you'll be found out. If any of my dogs failed, so what!!! it's no big deal I'll just move on. -
No matter how much experience someone has breeding dogs there will be pups lost in a litter at some stage, it's just the way it is, it's impossible to have a 100% success rate and if someone says they haven't lost a pup then they haven't bred many litters. And I'm sure Shane done what he could for the bitch and the pups otherwise he wouldn't be coming on here knowing how bitchy some fellas are.

Is the dried meat the rehydrated stuff Glyn, that's great for the summer and only takes up half the space, add water and it doubles in size, good stuff.

Fed my working dogs nothing but raw beef and chicken for 30yrs, less shit, less smell, you don't have to feed them as much, better condition, better coat, hold there weight better after being to ground a while I find, I wouldn't feed them anything else even if I had to pay more.

I always wondered if the white Gouldy stuff was any good, a lad who dug with me a few times had one from Gould, I think it was a son of Flint, it was around the time he was advertising flint at stud, it was ok.....doubled up with his black dog he got off Ken that would work fine on its own???

About 20 years ago I judged a well known working terrier show and a white Lakeland stood out, going over the dog I asked what type of worker the dog was the fella said he likes to mix it, anyway I picked him for overall BIS, I bumped into the fella afterwards and I said I hope that dog works as good as he looks, he smiled gave me his number and said ring him, to cut a long story short he came up to me and we dug to the dog locked on, that's the first and last white lakie I've seen find and stay.
