    Good session sd? there relentless fcukers this time of year.. was watching the ewes standing guard on a wire fence a few nights ago, they were fending off attacks? set up on a high hedge line and took these 3.. that’s 11 from this area since lambing started?

    Been using the black gold bio wad for last two seasons, good killer.. the bioammo not so good though and the cartridges certainly don’t breakdown before your eyes? bloody expensive though:(

    Think I’m gonna have a go at loading steel, from what I can gather the yanks load way hotter than us so I’ll have a look into it? bought a slab of steel off a mate cheap other day and was well pissed off, didn’t realise they were plastic wad till I went and picked me decoys up?

    im in agreement about lugging a heavy gun about sd.. and if I ever burn this thing out ill be getting it re barrelled with a mid profile barrel! but until I get me shoulder fixed this ticks the boxes, I can't shoot freehand any more cos it just clunks and grinds when shouldered hence if I ever put a photo up theres always quad stix in the background... like you said a lot of foxs are taken between 40 and 100 yard but if theres a shot to be taken at about 250 I have full confidence ill drop what ever im shooting at. regarding gun snobbery.. you'd have to fight me to get me to p

    It’s factory standard Dave! Not sure it made a massive weight saving but it won’t of done any harm.. the gun had only fired 30 shots when I got it so barrels got plenty of life left

    I geeked up on non toxic in .204 before I bought it, the yanks that have to use it say it’s good? So it’s future proof too

    I wouldn't be put off getting one although there pretty sparse on the shelves now.. I couldn't bring myself to pay for shop ammo so it makes no odds on availability ill just keep reloading, works out about 34p a ?

    they are a bit heavy with the bull barrel, that's why I ditched the grs stock and got it fluted.. its still a bit of a lump but nice and steady on the sticks so mines going nowhere! think the reason for sako/tikka stoping making them is because the yanks are tight gits when it comes to spending on rifles and there home grown brands are way cheaper over there. save all your brass if its getting hard to find them and ill do a mega load for you
