    The closest I've had to a pure grey was a 3/16 bull bitch she was super fast and could turn like you wouldn't believe for a good size bitch could catch a fox like they weren't moving but in the end she packed it in, if this greyhound is no good she will be treated how you would a lurcher not just given a pass because shes coursing bred which a lot of people seem to favour when it comes to greys to breed from but always end up taking the easy option and just buying a old ex racing bitch

    I have a 7 month Irish coursing bred bit not started work but she's keen, also those wouldn't be the same greyhounds as over here just smooth coated staghounds

    You see with greyhounds to breed from most just look for something well bred and decent grade, I would much rather use a gamey type greyhound regardless of grade or how it's bred or where it was bred but that's just me.

    Not owned a non ped whippet grey but heard a few times some are bad for injuries

    If it's just for rabbits a ped whippet maybe be easier to find from good stock than a well bred collie whippet grey

    Seen some pictures of bull deer greys they looked the part real heavy dogs id own a well bred one

    All the hard mouth dogs I've had stayed hard mouth but retrieve is fixable mate

    If he's really into it constantly wanting to go out why not get him a little rescue lurcher if it's only for chasing rabbits, I can remember walking 2 terriers round a field digging up moles ( never did get one) but had the time of my life everything just seemed so fascinating out in the felds

    Are the galgos just Spanish greyhounds or different all together like a saluki? If so is it not a bit mad to compare a dog bred to run on open easy ground over short distances to a dog thats bred for actually hunting quarry

    All seriousness now mate I used to knock farmers doors and even as a young boy they'd always tell me f**k off you can't win these days and if they see you got a lamp god forbid they just assume your after something you shunt be, so easier they don't know about it at all if you know what I mean
