  1. Fella reckons his dogs go back hundreds of years and are the ultimate poachers dog but he does not even work dogs and breeds just for profit, I would save yourself the heartache of having to get rid of a jacker and get a pup from parents doing what you want the pup for
  2. Any pictures of the hound you plan on using mate? Also how would you know if the foxhound your using has the minerals single handed if they always run in packs? Atb mate
  3. Nice bitch mate, try get yourself a little busher you'll get many more runs
  4. I've had terriers and got a spaniel terrier at the minute and for hunting small bits of cover, hedges, ditches spaniel terrier is the way to go. If hunting largish forestry blocks where you need a dog to range away from you to find game beagle x would be the way to go. Atb
  5. Terrier was 2.5 years old, he hadnt done much to ground he had bolted all the foxes he'd been in on only about 10 don't get many to ground, I tried him in a big place last time out and he jacked
  6. If a dog jacked once it will most likely Jack again, I've kept dogs for a little while after they jacked and the jackers were still jackers the next time they were out
  7. The dog didn't come back with me that day mate
  8. Yes on the same day a friends lurcher pushed a fox to ground in a sand bank, the terrier wasn't a hard dog and was not very marked from it's previous encounter so I unclipped him he walked over to the earth had a sniff and just walked off
  9. he was in on something for 2 hours and walked completely as in not going to ground no more.
  10. If someone has such a dog why would they not take my 500 and prove me wrong? I'm very sorry I'm into more then rabbits sir ?
  11. I'm no anti if you can put me in contact with someone in the UK who has a kc reg digging beddy that's not just a fox only type terrier I will give the both of you 500 each to show the dog is the real deal. If you just want a lurcher mainly for rabbits odd hare odd fox then a beddy lurcher out of a bushing, ratting kc beddy would probably suffice but show them a few teeth one after the other and I bet the very vast majority wouldn't last 2 nights lamping.
  12. Is there any pure kc reg bedingtons doing a lot of digging any one know? I never heard of one, if the pure beddys didn't need the out cross blood they wouldn't of been outcrossed. Atb
  13. Aslong as your happy with what it can do then fair enough mate but I found with dogs honesty is the best policy and that rambo dog obviously isn't what the owner led people to believe he was
  14. Watching a vid of the dog work for 20 mins is the same as watching the dog work in the flesh, I'm not doubting the dog was well cared for but that doesn't make it a good dog just because it's fit and fed well.
  15. Nice looking dog mate what's the reason you aint done much with him at 2? Atb mate
  16. If any ones breeding decent digging dogs this year please give me a shout only had the one terrier but he jacked after a few hours last time out so I'm in need of a pup or two will pay for good stock, any type terrier from good stock cheers lads
  17. Would depend what type of things it's catching, if it was just rats and rabbit type of dog definitely not
  18. If your just doing that there is no problem, but show them something more a few in a night and there might just be a very big problem
  19. I wonder why so many thought he was a decent dog when it's on tape he was not all that, why would someone breed lurchers from a beddy that would rather sit and bark at it's fox then get hold and finish it? If any lurcher I own did what he did on the the vid it would not make the trip home and certainly not get bigged up as something it's not
  20. Seen the vid of rambo working and i would much rather use a harder type beddy with outcross blood than one like him to produce lurchers, but I suppose it depends what you intend on using the pups for.
  21. No the dog would go off hunting not giving 2 fuks if you got eye contact or what, some dogs will only listen to a firm hand a bit of eye contact when they really want something is not a deterant not in the slightest for a headstrong working type dog but maybe a pet it would work on
  22. Not true a headstrong dog that's got other things on his mind won't be coming to you because you looked him in the eye.
