  1. I do a lot of lamping when your lamp is attached to the gun you have to carry the gun so a sling is no good and after about 4 or 5 hours the weight becomes an issue. Also fumbling in the dark to reload is a pain if you need a rapid second shot. To be honest a pop is better for lamping but for daytime shooting the lgv is world class.
  2. I can't comment on the imp, I've never had one but I did own the LGV competition ultra.22 it's probably the most accurate rifle I have ever owned, 40mm spinner at 76 yards off a rest mind sadly it was just to heavy for walking the fields on a very large estate. Absolutely brilliant gun though hope this helps,M
