Hi there, I have a 12 month old male whippet, He's great with the lamp he will follow it where ever it goes but he can't seem to get his first rabbit, He's getting close Anough to them but I don't think he knows what to do, Can anyone give me any advise please it will be much appreciated

Thanks for your replys, it's just that I have had a few whippets before and jet (the one I have now) seems to be different from the rest, do you know what age they will start catching rabbits? And When he has a chase he will often not come straight back and a bit of a pain to get back on the lead

Hi I have a 9 months old whippet male, He's not like the usual whippet timmed and abit shy, he's very active not scared of anything no other dog or person, I've took him out a couple of times with the lamp he's straight on the rabbits, I'm just wondering if anyone has ever come across this sort of whippet and if he will calm down after time?

Hi I have a 9 month old whippet male, I've took him out a couple of times with the lamp and he is straight on the rabbits, he hasn't actually had one yet the weather has not been right anough for us to get close, He's not like any other whippet not timmed or anxious he's very boystrous he will have a go at anything and deffinantly not scared or feared of any other dog or wildlife! I'm just wondering if anyone has ever come across this sort of whippet and if he will be any good for lamping in the near future
