  4. thats whats going wrong with it now days ,there is too much red tape and not enough people to help with it all. most guys just join to shoot and thats all they want to do, but its not all about that any more now ,we have to contend with the likes of natural england rspb enviroment agency leases, rent ,insurance, bag return, the list is endless i bet i go to at least three meetings a month along with the chairman, but the lads dont see that just to keep the club running .then we do work parties in the summer to help put posts back in where people have pulled them out where the reserves are mend
  5. hi peashooter, southlincolnshire wildfowlers if you want a variety of forshore and marshes. we have about 20+ miles of coast to shoot mate with a wide range of ducks and geese, but if its just geese your after then its further round to norfolk. ps hows the humber wildfowlers getting on with there action against natural england has it gone to court yet ? + i here you have already lost alot of your shooting on the humber thats bad news that is mate . regards wag

  8. pegleg ,lord b is not being clever or bigheaded he is just stating a fact that on english pheasants shoots it is not ethical to use a semi auto or pump action on them. there ok for other shooting ie pigeon shooting ,wildfowling , clayshooting , etc, etc, but on pheasants shoots i think its to do with tradition like you say its a culture thing . regards wag

Is it the only veterinary locally if not then why do you use them HOW did the vet believe the pellets would exit in handy shit shaped parcells give your head a shake i dont think thats what he means read the post again carfully and then think, i had my red lab shot about 5 years ago in the front took it to the vets they said that the shot is just underneth the skin and not in the mussle so it MAY work its self out, and guss what some has, and some has not . you can feel some of the shot still in the skin but it does not bother him one bit ,and i dont think h

  16. i think there is a guide up on wigtown that takes you out on the( merse = forshore ). carnt think of his name but i know in the past when ive been up there he has bought lads out on the merse and they have shot geese . but if you do go to wigtown you have to apply for a permit well in advance because alot of it is reserve . regards wag

  18. hi all , just wondering what calls pepole are using around the country for ducks ,and geese , i use the archie jorden goose calls i dont think they can be beaten especally the pinkfoot call , for mallard i use the primos original wench,for teal and pintail i use the primos high roller, for wigeon i just whistle them in my self. so i would like to know what other fowlers use and what views they have on them and what sucess they have had out in the field . regards wag

    try ebay jrb i have just bought a pair off there ,there the ones that look like a pair of plyers these new ones work well and alot easy to use than the old ones me and my mate put a pair of anklets on his female harris yesterday in half the time they were £25 posted just had a quick look these are on there but ithink they are the cheap ones i would go for the more exspencive ones regards wag

  25. nothing wrong with inland duck shooting k9wpg. i do some myself and you havent posted in the wrong section mate ,its just me im old school .been bought up on the marshes and foreshore and was always told that wildfowling and inland duck shooting are two different kinds of shooting and wildfowling aint for everyone. regards wag
