  3. i would not personally take any advice from here no offence to any of the members .. if your a member of B.A.S.C get in touch with them and ask them about it make them earn your money you give them ..or go to someone who knows about these kind of things .. i would think there would be more to it than just the farmer given you written permission ..you could be getting yourself into more than you bargained for .... and at the end of the day its your FAC and SGC on the line ... good luck and let us know how you get on .... regards wag

I was out on the foreshore this morning plenty about but very high , I did manage a brace of mallard tho,the young dog did real well retreaving a mallard out the river which was running fast with a 8.3 tide pushing .
  7. can anyone help me out please, i am looking for a stock for a .17hmr cz452 american , i had an accident with mine last night which resulted in a broken stock , i have tried the local gun shops but was just wondering if there is anyone who could recommend a shop that specialises in rifle stocks but i would consider treating myself to a custom stock many thanks in advance wag
  8. Well it should be "wildlife lies" absolute pathetic.........the statement that was made about the wire cutters being used to cut a writhing animal from the snare, yet 20 seconds previous he stated that the animal is shot in the snare? So which one is it ? The police in yorkshire looking for lampers found a man.....he was shining a lamp up in the trees they said, then claimed they could be deer poachers.........since when do deer live in trees???? unless they meant unicorns as they have wings so i'm lead to believe !!!!! Why did they take airguns off the young lads? they were bullied by the

well i have just spoke to him donny , he said he does not know you...nor does he know what you look like to talk too .. so thats the reason why he did not speak , he was not being ignorant he just did not know you mate .... plus his mummy told him never to talk to strangers and as for not doing much hunting , i would say he does his fare share of it ...but does not feel the need to post it over the net .... if some of you took the time to look through the forum you would see darcy does his fare share of posting .... and no i'm not licking his arse just putting things wrig
  10. i have 3 mate's who are fire fighters who got a shout to it , they said it was one of the worst fires they have ever attended... if not the worst....... they said the heat was very intense with it being in a small confine place and the smell was sickening .....

  12. Hedz31 this should be an intresting topic and imo the usual folk think they are dictaters or dog gods probably wont reply! Have i bred from dogs with faults,of course i have, but ive used my outcross dog that is known for the traits im looking to correct,be it brains, nose, steadiness whatever it may be. One of the best dogs ive dug to over 8 hard seasons graft was lifted on more than one occasion after failing to bottle up quarry,i dont mean after an hour it was more 4 hours of constant round and round, the dog showed and was lifted before flying back to ground, that was a failed dig in my opinion
  13. steptoes love child

  14. Thanks Wag, Sounds encouraging, although I guess the pond will only measure about 15 yards by 4 this year and maybe a little extra each year after that. The attached picture is taken at the end of March when the water table was up to ground level. Now it has dropped about 2 foot althoough the pool in the foreground is still full as it is directly on a spring. I might enlarge that hole and leave unconnected to the rest of the pond so that there will be a small permanent pond. I've found that it is a lot easier to dig dry clay than it is to dig mud and I got a good bit dug yesterday wher

  19. you will only see the creeks fill up H unless there is a wind at the back of it , wait untill there is an 8.5 metre tide and take a snorkel with you john , i will sit it out on the front of kirton on 8.5
  20. i'm so sorry i missed this, you must be very keen if your digging out by hand and very much respect to you for having a go , i have a very small splash i shoot later on in the season its no good antil mid way through the season because of water shortage , i dont shoot big numbers but it's good for half a dozen ducks in a flight , the size of the splash is no more than 25ft across it attracts only teal with the od shovler .... if its in a wood then you could have some great sport if it attracts teal , i have a flight pond in a wood thats holds great amounts of teal in the winter when the
