I get loads of people asking is that an Irish wolf hound mate, then the people that "know their dogs" ask is that a Scottish deerhound mate. Lol northernlite must get asked the same about his beddy whippets all the time lol

Sad state of affairs but its all in the name of anti hunting publicity,when you consider the amount of perfectly healthy animals the RSPCA pts. Shame on those who left poor old dog.

I have a eurotec pro made by tecnetics I think only 200 quid. Its interesting looking on old os maps and trying to find virgin ground. The areas your talking about you would need crown permission to detect, unless you poach it lol

You didn't leave that one behind nice find. Think I'm going back to the ground I found the seal,only thing the ground is full of clinker lots of squeaks amongst it if you not what I mean. Atb

Think sloe is a bit of a posh thing my self, just weakens the prof if your just adding sloe to gin. Can't beat a good apple wine IMO Each to there own ah.

Its a strangely addictive hobby I guess value wise I have found enough modern coin to pay for detector, jewellery as well, but its finding something old like a coin with a date and I think to my self who was the last person to handle it some 400years ago. Just find it interesting.

Just took what I thought was an old bullet out of soak, had a closer look and I think its an old wax seal, with a running dog on it. Result

I get a satisfied secure feeling every time I walk past my log store, not the same as looking at a gas boiler wondering how much its costing. Any luck a good hard winter for us down south this year.

Same round here was looking so good back in august felt sure it was going to be a good one 3 trips out with the ferrets and we have had 6 between us. Some areas can't get to yet on account of birds on ground. Things might pick up yet, it must have been vhd no signs of myxi found a couple of dead ones in bracken that looked perfectly healthy Atb

My permission gets poached always picking up forgotten purse nets burrows dug etc. I say nothing to keeper,as I've done a bit in the past myself not a big deal really a few rabbits not sure I would ever pay for hunting rights after all your doing land owner a favour, be it deer rabbits rats they all pests in the farmers eyes.

Pisses me off when you see pictures on face book of someone's moggie bringing all sorts of wild life into house. Then defending it saying "well its what cats do its natural hunting instinct" Now if I was to do the same with what dog catches and was to say "well its what dogs do natural hunting instinct" I am some how a cruel c**t ?

Oil based primer undercoat 2 coats then top coat with satin wood oil based again. You can normally tell the water based paint from oil based by how it says clean brushes As in if it says clean brush with water then its water based.

Sadly Ollie the pub dog passed away at the grand old age of 14. He was from working stock although he spent the last seven greeting pub patrons and helping finish off any unwanted grub. If anyone knows of any future litters, of the right working stock please let me know. Cheers
