I have on a few occasions been dangled upside down by may ankles in order to grab a rabbit. Other days haven't need to did at all. You can't take anything for granted in this game. Ever thought of using a liner like the old days before locaters were about. Get your self well, and I'm sure someone will take you out for the day and give you a front row seat. Atb mate

The ones that are doing .5 of a mile hour faster than the one in front so takes them 20 mins to overtake total pain in the arse.
  7. Could it be that that 1/8th could land in the tail in one pup then the heart of another but physically the litter all look the same. But the pup with the 1/8th thrown to the heart out performs its siblings in the field. Or am I going the wrong way ?
  8. Lepus and rogues and running dogs I have here. I borrowed the rest from a mate. You new what you getting with his books all very well written and must have inspired a lot of youngsters. Who knows the hunting dog world would be a lot smaller with out his input. Not sure if that's a Good or bad thing
  9. Makes sense Paul so an 1\8th of bull isn't going to bring much to the party
  10. Lol nose aside good books imo Running dog addiction good read
  11. When breeding a beddy or bull to a whippet then bred out just using whippets so that looks wise it's a whippet do any beddy or bull traits remain, as in better stamina endurance etc ?
  12. I bought some years ago off here an opinal that had the wooden handle replaced with deer antler very well done by gruffalo I think his handle was.
  13. Not many films better the book that came before. Darcy writes well
  14. He was that Mack for sure I've read most of his books and they are all enjoyable to read, but not really a reference book. Inspirational yes.
  15. Just think a monkey that could use a hammer would be better employed as a roofer. Great books and well written to be truthful.
  16. Liked that Nathan book with the monkey with the hammer fight, that was some imagination he had
  17. Dogs back were kept by owners that tuned those dogs to win Always muzzled so they could not pick any thing up and spoil the diet.
  18. Yes that Alf fed mutton, but he cut every strip of fat from it before he boiled it He gave eggs and sherry and calves foot jelly and minced lean beef. Phil Drabble again that takes some effort, but sherry !
  19. A good handler could "throw" his dog five yards up the track to land him smoothly in his stride at full speed. Phil Drabble. No pressure then
  20. Guy used to be on here trev had peds think he was up on Dale's and they could put a shift in. Non peds could be a fair bit bigger than a ped, also a sniff of beddy. Only going on what I have read.
  21. How about CBT for these breeds maybe linked to chip registration if they dont make the grade then it PTS. Would deter idiots from owning them perhaps.
  22. Went to widemouth bay for a spot of winters surfing years ago, anyway decided against as too sketchy for us, then it rained heavy so called it a day. Well the t4 camper got to the top of hill with blind bend so I slowed and then it just sat and span tyres. So rolled back down hill left mrs at top on look out for on coming cars and hit it at pace and made it out. Still comes up in conversation now and again. Didnt manage to roll it though, just burnt the clutch a tad. Happy days

  24. Same here our local was yesterday I didn't go Mrs won 2nd for her hare painting, and the mother in law got a ein with her lemon drizzle cake. Not taking anything away from them but the entrys were low. They only do it to keep it going and if it wasn't for a few farmers it would be gone. Used to enjoy the ploughing competition but this year it was in a town I don't much care for so didnt bother.
  25. Wasn't outsider, that I fell asleep watching so... Nobody it was called and yeah it was entertaining, worth a watch I would say
